That why I went for a Travall, didn't fancy drilling or cutting.
Sorry for bringing up an old thread. I was thinking about buying one of these and don't want the hassle of removing it when I want to put the parcel shelf back in so I just have two questions re the Travell.
1: Does the rear parcel shelf fit with the guard in place?
2: Does the guard rattle

Thanks for that, I have imagine its a connection problem as it was an intermittent problem for a while. There's only 45000 km on th car so I,d be a bit cheesed off about having to change the cluster.

Hi the backlighting only seems to be working on one half of my speedomter. Does anyone know how big a job it is to gain access to the instrument cluster bulbs?

The mirror toggle switch came away in my hand the other day when I was adjusting the nearside mirror. Has this happened anyone else with their Yeti?
I've booked it into get it repaired but the garage are unsure if it will be a warranty issue.

Skoda ie did the same to TMC cars in Navan. Western Motors in Drogheda picked up the franchise as they have a plush showroom and pricing to match. TMC sold large volumes of Skoda in the North East but it appears their showroom didn't meet the image. I priced around for servicing and found Pilsen in Dublin to be competitely priced with excellent customer service.

I wonder is this in relation to his commision more so that the terms and conditions for the costumer, or maybe I'm being a cynic.

As mentioned above the Experience comes with cornering foglights so try the solutions mentioned.

Don't be so sure, the same situation arose over here where the majority of new cars sold were in the low emmissons bracket so the Goverment hiked up the road tax on these leaving the higher ones as is. They intend attacking the lower ones again by splitting our lowest rate "Band A" into four sub brackets which places the Yeti Greenline in the top one of these.

Looks like a useful piece of kit to carry in the glovebox.

We recently swapped our 170 TDI Elegance in Storm blue/Gobi leather ,for a Greenline Elegance in Rosso Brunello/Gobi leather.
The only extra we fitted was wood effect dash trim instead of silver.
The rosso looks lovely in the sunshine and has had lots of favourable comments .
Rare colour on a Yeti as well.
I wouldn't have chosen a black interior though, as the rosso is quite a dark shade.
Each to his own, I went for the black leather interior with Rosso Brunello as I prefer the look of the black over the Gobi.

My wife has A Mitsubishi Colt which is basicaly the same car as the Smart Four, it has a similar set up of the automatic gearbox and is just as Smart Examiner says "alright if you don't gun it". Just don't expect it to be as smooth as a DSG or a conventional automatic.

i have an interesting excel 2010 spreadsheet i use, tracks fuels used, trip computer mpg against real mg, also different fuels (esso, bp, shell etc), avergage mpg over last 5 fill ups

This was thrown in hear to see would people bite. If it is ignored it will die due to lack off interest. Just close the door on it and starve it of oxygen.

Got my first 15000km service here as TMC no longer have the Skoda franchise.
Left car in at 0845 and it was ready (washed and all) at 0930.
The waiting room was comfortable with TV and WIFI.
Staff were friendly and professional.
Follow up call a few days later to check customer satisfaction.
The price was also spot on.

Skoda Ireland have been promoting the brand to the various emergency services in Ireland and have been using demonstrator models fitted out with strobes etc. This is the Yeti they have been using, it is a 170 4x4 manual Ambition model with the adventure pack (sunroof, extra scuff plates etc). The lightbar is attached to a standard set of yeti roof bars.

£14,700 plus duty if someone from the UK bought it, so about £17,600.
How does that compare to the same spec and model year in on your side of the Irish Sea?

For the times when you ever wished the Yeti's boot was just that little bit bigger I came across this advert for a 2012 Yeti for sale in Dublin.
It not only has the usual Vari-Flex seats but can convert into a Superb Combi when required.

Thanks for that. I had the Skoda dog guard on my last Yeti and it was a pain to get the shelf in and out. I was looking at the Travall on the basis that it's cheaper than the Skoda one and I could take it with me if I decided to go for a Yeti next time round.
At the moment with no dog guard fitted I have no problem removing and replacing the parcel shelf, although I do agree that a roll up cover like the one fitted in the Octavia Combi would be a more practical option.
