  1. @MicMacHappy to rebuild it if possible, but the bearings are goosed and plastic work gear stripped, can they be sourced?
  2. Yes, the inevitable rear wiper seize because of the fault that has been there since the beginning that still hasn't been fixed! I don't suppose anyone is breaking a car or has a mech laying around that they are interested in selling? Part number in question is 1Z5 955 711 6 PA5. Does this issue exist on the Audi, or do they have a better part? Tom
  3. It apparently has a 1 month full trial when you purchase it, I've haven't paid for anything beyond the product yet.
  4. Thanks Andy, it was marker lights that had become enabled - no idea how. I couldn't find a country option, but did find them under lights and turned them off. Tom
  5. I recently purchased a Carista, and ever nice making a change regarding locking the doors the front indicators come on permanently with the lights, be it with leaving home lights when unlocking it with the light control on the dashboard. Anyone ever seen this functionality before, more importantly how do I stop it? Tom
  6. OK, Credits are for add on app purchases. OBDeleven looks the better product as there is no limit on how you use it once you've purchased. Carista I can get delivered tomorrow from Amazon, but has the daft licencing model.
  7. OBDeleven, looking on their site the standard comes with 100 credits, what are the credits for?
  8. Carista was looking good, until I found out that the anything other than basic ECU diagnostics is $40 a year? Tom
  9. Does it need to be the pro version of OBD Eleven or will the standard do? I'm specifically looking at ABS issues at the moment, but all system would be good. Tom
  10. I had an old cheapo USB cable, then later a bluetooth version and these worked fine. The Bluetooth one stopped working, so I purchased another based on the ELM327. The problem is that while I can find software that will speak to it, they all only seem to speak to ECU, not the rest of the systems, and they can only read fault codes and clear. Is there any cheap, preferable free software for phone or Windows that anyone can recommend that will speak with these devices and read all systems like VCDS and also allow reading of the various value from the ECU when running? Regards Tom
  11. As you can see from the picture some genius has broken the mounts for the ABS cable at some point and decided the obvious fix is a stack of cable ties. I'm not getting regular (almost continuous) ABS and traction control warning lights which the garage identified as this cable being damaged. Does anyone know the part number for the cable? Why does the able fork? Just where the break hose ducks round the back you can see the fork, one branch goes down the back of the hub, the other comes forward to the sensor I presume. Regards Tom
  12. The chromed insert on my gear stick that has the gate layout on it rough as hell, the chroming is breaking up. Does the insert pop out on its own, or do you have replace the whole knob? Either way how to get it or the knob off? Tom
  13. CWARD What is the foot pack and fixing kit? Looking online it appears to be the attachment for the horizontal bars to the mounting points within the cars body? Maybe I'm being daft, but I assumed the roof bars came with these? Tom
  14. I know what you mean, but I can't justify the cost of towbar installation or roof rack. Luckily it's only short distances that I'll be travelling. Tom
  15. Thanks for the reply. Do the Saris Bones 2 & 3 sit entirely on the metal section of the boot? If the upper "feet" sit on the glass I assume you have disabled the rear wiper? Tom
