  3. Got mine done yesterday, car handled crap I thought but no it's a revelation, best £85 I've ever spent on a car.
  4. Thinking about getting my wheels refurbed and have a set of Solids from my dads old Superb lying about, anyone know if they will fit my 07 VRS?
  5. Cheers folks, it's parked itself after driving about today after about an hour. I'm not gonna use it again until I get a new motor.
  6. Should have used the search facility first, basically the rear wiper is a POS is what I've discovered. Oh well hopefully it returns to normal position then I won't be using it again.
  7. As above, any ideas what's up? I've checked fuse etc but still won't budge, I can hear the click when I activate it but it won't move :(

  9. Is it worth buying a cheap vagcom from EBay to reset the eml ?
  10. Cheers Silver, yer wipers working now thankfully. Thanks again buddy for the advice. Hoping I haven't bought a pig in a poke.
  11. All lights out and back to normal apart from eml light still on argh lol
  12. Thanks my man, I'll go take it for a spin now and fingers crossed it works. Any ideas as to the eml light as the car was running great with it on.
  13. Had my car 1 week and the eml light came on last night, popped bonnet today and disconnected the battery to see if it would clear it as car was running fine now I've got no wipers, and steering wheel symbol, boot open symbol and Eml light symbol all on argh!! Anyone got any suggestions what to do? Cheers.
  14. Out of interest mate how long does it take to change the belt and the other parts mentioned?
  15. Im the same, i never scrimp on tyres or maintenance, mine is 263 000 full skoda history and thats why its till going strong today.
  16. Just re read my post, ment to say i put it in by mistake and didnt realise until the car spluttered to a halt, ive never changed the fuel filter since so its the same one and my car has ran faultless so for the original op i hope this settles your nerves.
  17. Think it was about 800 or 900 quid for a new skoda clutch and flywheel inc fitting at my local skoda garage.
  18. 392 000 miles well done sir!! mine is a mere pup. I only change the oil every 10k miles so i wonder if mine will get to that sort of mileage?? i must admit i do thrash it occasionally.
  19. Ive put 15quids worth of unleaded in my superb, drove it till it spluttered to a halt then freewheled to a garage and brimmed it with diesel and have had no probs whatsoever, that was at least 10k miles ago.
  20. hi-q local garage got 4 hankook ventus v12 225/45/17 for £82.50 each think i got a good deal, they seem ok in the dry and quite good in the wet, heres hoping i get more mileage outta them than my last set of bridgestone potenzas, only got 9k miles outta the fronts!!
  21. Ive slowed down a bit recently with my mileage, only at 263 500 now lol. Still going strong though.
  22. im not sure i havent got in touch with them yet, ive never had to claim for a screen before so im not sure if im covered, guess i should have asked when i took it out and i should read my policy oops lol. thanks for the answer anyway mate.
  23. Got a crack in my windscreen last night coming home from England after being away for New year, can anyone tell me if i can just fit a normal windscreen without the sensor as (1) i never use them and (2) i reckon it will be much cheaper, the cars done huge mileage so hence the reason id prefer the cheaper screen.
  24. Thanks guys, i will definately replace it with another 1.9 pd when it eventually dies. Theres no squeeks or rattles from the interior either they really are well built. Baker 21 your car is totally mint keep up the good work.
  25. Would like to thank my Superb for turning over 260 000 miles today, its a 1.9 tdi 130 bhp comfort, only problems touch wood have been a new clutch and flywheel and a new maf in all those miles, oh and lots and lots of tyres . Parking sensors work when they want and thats about it, almost forgot the numberplate lights are a pain so changed to led bulbs and they have not failed yet. It feels like it will do another 100k not bad for an ex taxi of my dads given to me to use for my daily long commute. Returns over 50mpg constantly.
