I wired these into the car hatch absolutely brilliant certainly a lot cheaper than replacing with the original lights http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6x-12V-LED-STRIP-DRL-DAYTIME-RUNNING-LIGHTS-FOG-COB-CAR-LAMP-WHITE-DAY-DRIVING-/172359171337?var=&hash=item2821683d09:m:maWWGIQPHoLysD6ou5v_Ejw

The android units are plug and play. I've just replaced my Bolero with one. Steering wheel buttons work, maxidot (to a point) etc. I just have the standard speakers (4 front, 4 rear) and have had no issues.
Why do you want to come away from the Columbus? I only changed my Bolero for the android unit as it was cheaper and gave me more functionality than the Bolero but the Columbus does pretty much everything?
Chris which android head unit did you get i have the basic Bolero .....cheers
-
You could pop down to me near Scotch Corner and I'll show you round a Columbus unit. Depending n what you want, I'll have something to suit I'm sure.
So do you have any for sale if so what. Scotch corner is only 30 minutes

A bit different topic but my boot light is gone. I took off the plastic housing but seems to be completely assembled. Can i change only the bulb inside? I did not want break the housing.
Thx for hints
Scroll to thread 5 i might help http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/352735-led-internal-lights/?hl=%2Bled+%2Bdrl#entry4230892

I have to say the faffing about is greater than the benefit so I've gone back to the crappy standard bulbs
I can understand so far i have spent £35 on these drl's the first ones didn't work ( something to do with the pins) so i put them into the tear cluster nice and bright though
-
Will,
Having read this feed with interest myself over the last year it appears to be a bit of a lottery as to whether an "error free" bulb will actually be "error free" because the SII CANBUS system changes depending on the year/model/coding of the vehicle and it's eerily sensitive anyway. Most people either solder in resistors or get something similar to these:
Didn't even know you could get those .yo be honest i could of paid for them and got a lower priced cree ,thanks i will look into it
-
I've just changed my DRLs to these which are a lot brighter than the first lot of LEDs I put in. These are CREE like the ones Jake has but with further CREE chips around the sides so as to light up the reflector more.

And a picture of them working in the car.....
I was following this thread ages ago and kind of lost off anyways i came across it again and took the plunge buying the ones in the link having wasted £12 on others so the question is i fitted the cree drl's and the errors are showing instantly any one got any tips about the errors before i leave bad feedback thanks inadvance ....

It says in the manual interior lights fuse No.4, 5 amp ,then learning it's fuse number15 10amp

I am currently changing the bulbs around the car to led and i'm struggling with the footwell lamp ,how on earth do you get the bulb out of the case i nearly took a hammer to it today and if anyone could recommend an ebay bulb would be great thanks ......

Had same problem, designated fuse in the fusebox was fine, took it to the main dealer and they found another fuse, faulty. They didn't charge me, so if you're lucky you have the same problem, if not :( try cheking them one by one

Yes i did have the same problem took it in this morning turns out it was not fuse no.4 as stated ,another fuse felt a bit useless but pleased it's fixed only charged a £10 happy with that ......

The fuse diagram says it's fuse no.4 on the top row so took out all the fuses swapped them over with no results ?

Maybe you might of damaged the BCM? the only thing i can suggest is to disconnect 1 leg of the battery for 20-30 mins & then re-connect but before you do, I would check the owners manual if i was you first, before doing this or wait & see if anyone else can advise you better...
Have you tried to put back in the original bulbs to see if they work?
Thanks for the reply i did try the original bulbs and nothing. What is the bcm and is it a big job thanks

I have recently bought a 12 plate used Skoda superb and quickly noticed my vanity mirror not working so i swapped for led's, i swapped both mirror lights over and working when i went replace the light holder the i think the screwdriver i was carrying caught one of the connections and knocked out all the interior lights 8 in total i found the fuse box and checked the fuses all ok and even swapped the 5 amp fuses and still nothing any suggestions would be grateful Thanks
