pointing to the map sensor .it was in on Friday all day and the garage can't find the problem so thinking the only thing left is the auto techs any ideas would be greatful

  2. About a week ago the car started slipping into limp mode when i was bobbing around the doors the coil would appear and flash then the engine management light would stay on could this be the IAT sensor if so is fixable my self  i have a obd scanner which is where i got the faults from and where would i get one thanks in advance superb 2012 1968cc

  3. The android units are plug and play. I've just replaced my Bolero with one. Steering wheel buttons work, maxidot (to a point) etc. I just have the standard speakers (4 front, 4 rear) and have had no issues.

Why do you want to come away from the Columbus? I only changed my Bolero for the android unit as it was cheaper and gave me more functionality than the Bolero but the Columbus does pretty much everything?

Chris which android head unit did you get i have the basic Bolero .....cheers

  4. Will,

Having read this feed with interest myself over the last year it appears to be a bit of a lottery as to whether an "error free" bulb will actually be "error free" because the SII CANBUS system changes depending on the year/model/coding of the vehicle and it's eerily sensitive anyway. Most people either solder in resistors or get something similar to these:

Didn't even know you could get those .yo be honest i could of paid for them and got a lower priced cree ,thanks i will look into it

  5. I've just changed my DRLs to these which are a lot brighter than the first lot of LEDs I put in. These are CREE like the ones Jake has but with further CREE chips around the sides so as to light up the reflector more.

I was following this thread ages ago and kind of lost off anyways i came across it again and took the plunge buying the ones in the link having wasted £12 on others so the question is i fitted the cree drl's and the errors are showing instantly any one got any tips about the errors before i leave bad feedback thanks inadvance ....

  6. Had same problem, designated fuse in the fusebox was fine, took it to the main dealer and they found another fuse, faulty. They didn't charge me, so if you're lucky you have the same problem, if not :( try cheking them one by one ;)

Yes i did have the same problem took it in this morning turns out it was not fuse no.4 as stated ,another fuse felt a bit useless but pleased it's fixed only charged a £10 happy with that ...... :notme:

  7. Maybe you might of damaged the BCM? the only thing i can suggest is to disconnect 1 leg of the battery for 20-30 mins & then re-connect but before you do, I would check the owners manual if i was you first, before doing this or wait & see if anyone else can advise you better...

Have you tried to put back in the original bulbs to see if they work?

Thanks for the reply i did try the original bulbs and nothing. What is the bcm and is it a big job thanks
