  1. I think I have just had the same issue last night, my car is a 2014 with 55000 on the clock, and 3 months out of warranty. Mine was on a short drive, about 5 miles in and was only doing about 55mph, big red warning came up on dash, so I pulled over and the temp immediately went back down! I see lots of u were able to get a lot of urs done under good will, how did u manage to get this done?? Im just wondering whether I would be best to go to Skoda or go to an independent garage and get it all done??
  2. Finally had a chance to give the car a good spring clean, clay bar, polish with AG SRP and finally a coat of BH DSW!! Had it 3 months now and love it!
  3. Thanks for your reply Richie. Unfortunately I am up in Scotland! The wheels are anthracite, I don't have a wheel wax, although I have ag wheel seal. Can I use the dsw on them or am I better to use the wheel seal? Do you think I am better to not use the EGP? I used it before on my old black Vrs but never used it on a light colour??
  4. Hi guys, i recently picked up my 2014 white Vrs Estate. The car is in decent condition but I have not had a chance to give it a good going over. I like to keep my car clean but wouldn't say that I'm a detailer! Anyway, I am hoping to get a chance to give it a clean this week and my plan was to clay bar the car to start with then give it a polish with autoglym srp. Once I had done that I was going to give it a coat of autoglym extra gloss protection before finishing it off with a coat or two of bh double speed wax. Does this process sound ok to everyone or I am missing some things that would be better done?? cheers
  5. Thanks for the replies, my next question is what would you all suggest as being the best options?? i have always been an AG faithful whether it be the SRP, fast wax or EGP! Do AG offer a ceramic kit??
  6. Hi guys, I have been looking it the ceramic coatings that are available now as an alternative to wax! Does any1 have any experience of doing this or any opinions on whether it is any good?? Or am I better off just sticking to giving the car a good old wax??
  7. I picked up my 2014 Vrs Diesel, 50000 miles, white with the black pack and heated seat, got it for just under 14k! Love the car so far, long may it continue!!
  8. Hi folks, Haven't been on here for a while as I sold my previous Vrs just over a year ago! Anyway I am looking to purchase another Vrs, this time I am going for a diesel Estate! I am going to view one at a garage on Thursday and was wondering what I should be looking out for?? It is a 2014 diesel Estate with black pack, full leather and about 50000 on the clock and is priced at £14000. From looking at prices this seems like a fair value, am I right with this or what should I be looking to get them down to? Cheers in advance!
  9. I had a similar problem on my 2004 vrs, the boot and rear footwells were soaked!turned out there was a tiny hole in the scuttle drain on the boot!looked like where a welding point had been! Put a bit of silicon and that was it sorted! Maybe worth a look!
  10. Sorry for the delay in reply mate! Yes the offside elec mirror does not work from the control but the nearside does! Have you had this problem before??
  11. Guys, I had problems with my central locking a few months ago. My local garage sorted it but now my drivers door does not open/lock with the fob and I have to use the key in the lock! The fob still work all the other doors/boot but not the drivers one! If I use the key in the door it opens/locks all the doors! I am guessing that it possibly has to be reset or something but do not have a clue how to do this!! My uncle has a snap on diagnostic tool thing that i have access to. Can anyone help me out with how I could sort this?? Cheers

  14. Hi guys, I have a mk1 vRS in black and was wondering what is the best products to get it looking its best. The car has been a bit neglected over the past couple of years due to kids coming along and not having so much time on my hands. We also have a white Citigo sport so I would be looking to use the stuff on it as well. I have been thinking that the octavia might need some sort of paint restorer or something similar. What are the best options here. The car does look good when it is washed and cleaned but I still think the paintwork could be doing with a deep clean. I don't want to spend a fortune on stuff so what is the best options? Cheers
  15. Off the top of my head I don't think I have ever done it and I have had the car 5 years. Where can you get this done and how much should it cost?
