  1. Hi @glenn_btn and @Phoenixd sorry for delay here

I used fuse 10 which is power window left - it is not used on our car and looks like it is perm live

Its been in a week and no issues

Also ref the trim - did not remove it but noted you can use something big and flat to prise it away from the top of the pillar and then feed the cable into the space between the plastic facia and the door rubber then down into the back of the fuse box.

This is a pic of the finished item

    hope that helps

  2. Not sure if its the same engine but the 190 diesel on the VW passats dropped of our company car list some months ago.

I have ordered a 150 bhp passat (dont have skoda on our list sadly) and when i spoke to the dealer they noted that the VAG diesel range is in all sorts of flux and even a delivery date of septe/oct could not be guarenteed :(

  3. Sadly selling this great car due to job change

    64 plate Yeti 2litre Diesel 140bhp 4x4 Elegance 25k miles

The car has full service history and this was dealer serviced during warranty period. Remaining service is with local independent and using skoda parts.

The car is in white with a grey leather interior and has heated front seats. The interior also benefits from the skoda yeti mats and sill scuff guards. The car comes with blue tooth for telephone pairing and aux input jack as well for MP3 player etc.

Also Cruise control, dual zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, Bi-Xenon Headlights with LED daytime running lights, Front fog lights inc cornering function, Auto-lights on, Multi function steering wheel, Maxi-Dot Trip Computer, Headlight washers, rear parking sensors and display, heater door mirrors and obviously the off-road button and its associated functions

The car has had Life Shine interior and exterior protection applied and has been washed by hand using the approved products.

It is priced keenly at £12,500 - car is in Fareham in Hampshire

  4. Hi

I recently fitted these bumper guards and they are a good fit, with a small lip on them coming down to protect the bumper.

They also fit in under the rubber seals.

Slightly tricky to fit as the sticky snagged the rubber on the way in but I then did it such that tape was left on and once the protector was in place removed each section at a time and then stuck down - just my experience.

It came from here yeti protector

Be aware more than 1 type for the yeti

Sadly though this recent addition my well be the last as I will be selling the car shortly :crying:, however, it has been replaced by a fabia so staying in the Skoda family

  5. Hi

Just been told the service warning has appeared on screen.

Car has done 13500 miles and is a 64 plate, so 2 years old. Its a 2 litre 140bhp diesel

Service warning says - service in 7 days of 7000 miles.

Question is which is right - 7 days or 7000 miles - bit of a difference.

Car is on variable service just now 'QI6' on front sticker.

The car generally does shortish runs of 10-15 miles per day with some longer runs 1 or 2 times per month.

My thought is to get it serviced and keep with the variaible service plan.

Next question is dealer service or not ??

Thanks in advance for the answers

  6. Hi - which skoda engines need the Adblue pls - I have 140bhp 2L diesel in my 64 plate Yeti - based on what is said above, I have a spare wheel in the back and dont see any bottles in the boot - thanks

  7. I got some door trims for mine (16 plate) in back and silver about £60 plus delivery via the arrangement on this site - I have used this a few times for parts and usually pretty good with getting the parts and getting them to you.  Basically the same price as my local dealer but without the issue of going all the way over there

They look really smart and will protect.  If you want a pic let me know

  8. Thanks for all the feed back here on this issue.

Wife now knows that car should be left in gear as well as handbrake on - iteresting to hear a couple of other issue with handbrakes.

Still I would rather have the proper handbrake than the electronic one in the company car - took ages to get used to it and still have no confidence in it - trouble is you flick a little switch and its supposed to come on - but if you are too quick then it does not go on and the car rolls

Fixed the Yeti damage tonight - 1 rear light cluster cover.

Good price & service from Craig at Listers Skoda in Coventry. Order lunchtime Monday, got it lunchtime today, fitted tonight

  9. Hi

Wife was driving car Saturday and parked up in a carpark in town on a slight slope. She got out the car locked it and went off to the shop.  About 10 mins later someone comes in and asked who has the Yeti - because its rolled across the car park and into another car.

On inspection both my wife and the other party agreed the handbrake was in the on position and there was no obvious reason for it to roll.

1 poss esplaination is that it was not on tight enough but we have had the car 3 months now so its not like it not been driven, parked etc a few times now.  Anyone else hear of this problem??

Bad news is we need to go through insurance as the other car has a bit of damage.

Be interested to hear any other ideas

And yes she has been told to leave it in gear - again

    Thanks

  10. Hi

In the Yeti my phone connects each time I get in automatically like it is supposed to do which is great.

However, it then goes on to connect the media part of the phone with the media part of the radio system and starts playing the music from the phone even if I dont want it to.

To stop it just press radio buttoon on the radio system in the yeti and its ok.

I had a look at the manual but cant see how to stop it connecting and playing the media each time - connecting the phone eash time is OK - must be a setting somewhere I guess - but where

Phone is a samsung and the radio is the standard elegance radio

    Thanks

  11. OK done the deal and its in the driveway

14 plate Elegance in white with 140 engine and 4x4

great fun to drive and plenty of room all round.

I have ordered a spare tyre and kit for it as well so dont have the nightmare of being stranded

I will let you know how we go with it - first scout camp is in March so looking forward to loading it up for that trip

Thanks for all the help and ideas on this thread
