  1. Hello All, Advice needed please, I have an 11plate octy cr170 dsg that I am considering giving a lttle more power. I like the idea of a bluefin so I can switch back to standard if needed, but I previously owned a fabia Vrs pd130 which had a vicious remap and other usual mods. I loved the car to bits :( Anyway..what I want to know is, can anyone give me any insight on how this performs with a bluefin or remap and any issues I might come across. I'm not looking to go mad with mods, just put a grin on my face Thanks
  2. hi can anyone tell me if there is a guide for changing the front brake pads on a fabia vrs. cheers
  3. Hi is there a guide for changing front brake pads on a fabia vrs? or could anyone link me to it? Thanks
  4. Can anyone link me to the guide for the elephant hose mod? Thanks
  5. I will batter it with spray grease, i give it a good dose of WD40 which cleared the noise for a while. All the bushes have just recently been replaced at awesome, checked the drop links and they seem fine. Thanks for the advice
  6. Hi I have a creaking/clunking noise coming from the top of my shock absorber. if you hold the spring you can feel the vibration/knocking through it as you turn the wheel. you can see it sticking and clunking as it frees off. is there an easy fix for this? BEARING/BUSH replacement? Thanks : :S
  7. Can anyone help. whilst checking on a steering problem i decided to remove the sump guard. when i dropped the guard i noticed oil all over it under the intercooler. i checked it over and both top and botton hoses are bladdered in oil. can anyone advise what this will be?? i can only think of oil coming through the turbo. Thanks
  8. The jabba one is single mass. if your getting a stage 1 remap then its overkill in my opinion.
  9. Personally i'd change the flywheel, i had mine changed at 20000 but it was battered. if the labour costs are so cheap then it would make sense to pay the extra and put a new flywheel in. Cost me £1100 for a sachs clutch & flywheel.
  10. i agree with the last 2 posts, definately not normal. my mates turbo made a whinning noise, it had bent the shaft. oh and when mine went it cost 1500 because i also damaged the intercooler..if it needs replacing do it asap.
  11. HAHAHAHAHA. WOULD 4 ELEPHANTS EQUATE TO 4 MISSISSIPPIS??
  12. Hi all, I'm gettin sick of playing with retards & yanks. or should that just be yanks???? if anyone is online with any of the call of dutys or fifas, feel free to add me. my username is nickythehitman.
  13. well that clears that mate..nice one. i'll more than likely replace them with uprated ones, labour is expensive but awesome are the b******s.
  14. been told its the bushes by skoda chris if it helps
  15. funnily enough i put a post about a steering noise yesterday. its clunking as i turn the wheel idle or moving. i have been into skoda and they said the front rear wishbone bushes have split. quoted £180 fitted. so i nipped into awesome on the way back, they quoted £260 with tracking for the uprated bushes. i have just got a quote from demon tweeks for £148 fitted with tracking, but advised to change all on the front. do the cupra and powerflew both fit on the front. ei..front front & rear front...make sense????
  16. I have recently got a noise when steering. idle or on the move i get a clucking noise as i turn the wheel. had it jacked up and my sump guard was hangin off so refitted that.but that wasnt it. tried it on the jacks and no noise. any ideas??
  17. very funny....brightened up a bad day in the office!
