  1. Rears to Front, says its little bit noisier at front end on smoother road surface.
  2. He's going to get offending tyres checked/renewed.
  3. changed tyres over and now gets noise from front when turning so it must be tyres ie directional type,, he always gets car checked over and fixes faults asap so he was baffled.thanks for advice
  4. Mate thought noise in his 2009 octy was from front end but its a consistant drone from rear of car even when coasting etc, any ideas? and no, its not from a back seat driver
  5. Mate has problem with Octy 1.9 2009 model, and asked for help but as I don't have a clue I thought maybe one of Briskoda members might know the answer- When he is driving, especially at around 50/60 MPH he gets whats he calls a " constant on/off droning noise " from back end, even gets it when he coasts along out of gear/engine switched off!( He doesn't have a habit of doing this-SO HE SAYS ).his cars done about 80K miles, any advice? :wonder:
  6. unfortunately they are all round holes.but thanx anyway
  7. No, the panel below steering wheel.
  8. Any idea how best to blank off holes in drivers side lower dash panel ? ( removal of additional switches/cig lighter).
  9. thanx for that-a lot better than 70 odd quid quote from Skoda dealer
  10. Trying to locate a new/used Upper Storage Box/Air Vent assembly for Grey Octavia 1.9 Ambiente 2008 model as there is a small screw hole on the front of mine-anyone any ideas re:- where to get one at reasonable price or how to repair the existing one?, thanks :S
  11. Only used Henrys for spare parts but they were really quick to give expert advice and got the parts the same day or next day, prices were also very good.
  12. Always had great service from Newmarket in Bannockburn- extremely efficient and friendly staff.
  13. Thanks for that, I located the screw but the bumper appears to be distorted between that point and the upper forward corner of the bumper and although there is flexibility with the bumper it is impossible to retain it in position- I was thinking about carefully using self-tapping screw through into rear quarter panelto hold in position- I know a couple of folk with same problem and wonder if Skoda are aware of problem. Finally used heavy duty rubber based adhesive between bumper and rear quarter panel-still holding.
  14. thanks, been told by dealer that new filler pipe required
