  1. Rears to Front, says its little bit noisier at front end on smoother road surface.
  2. He's going to get offending tyres checked/renewed.
  3. changed tyres over and now gets noise from front when turning so it must be tyres ie directional type,, he always gets car checked over and fixes faults asap so he was baffled.thanks for advice
  4. Mate thought noise in his 2009 octy was from front end but its a consistant drone from rear of car even when coasting etc, any ideas? and no, its not from a back seat driver

Mate has problem with Octy 1.9 2009 model,and asked for help but as I don't have a clue I thought maybe one of Briskoda members might know the answer- When he is driving, especially at around 50/60 MPH he gets whats he calls a " constant on/off droning noise " from back end, even gets it when he coasts along out of gear/engine switched off!( He doesn't have a habit of doing this-SO HE SAYS ).his cars done about 80K miles, any advice? :wonder:

  10. Trying to locate a new/used Upper Storage Box/Air Vent assembly for Grey Octavia 1.9 Ambiente 2008 model as there is a small screw hole on the front of mine-anyone any ideas re:- where to get one at reasonable price or how to repair the existing one?, thanks :S
  11. Only used Henrys for spare parts but they were really quick to give expert advice and got the parts the same day or next day, prices were also very good.

Thanks for that, I located the screw but the bumper appears to be distorted between that point and the upper forward corner of the bumper and although there is flexibility with the bumper it is impossible to retain it in position- I was thinking about carefully using self-tapping screw through into rear quarter panelto hold in position- I know a couple of folk with same problem and wonder if Skoda are aware of problem.Finally used heavy duty rubber based adhesive between bumper and rear quarter panel-still holding.

I have an oil leak at the bottom of oil filler extension piece, it was spraying oil yesterday and it was tightened up but when I checked under the car today there was oil on driveway and I thought it was just remnants of earlier oil spill, although when the plastic cover was removed off the top of the engine it appears to still be weeping oil-no problem with pressure etc. Any suggestions on best remedy ?
  16. The upper corner of rear bumper on my 2009 Octavia is sticking out of the bodywork behind the drivers side rear door, any idea how to repair/refix ? :S
  17. thanks, will try Skoda and see what happens-someone suggests that hot hairdryer held close to trim might help, but will go to Skoda first. Update-New panel fitted under warranty.
  18. My 2009 Octavia has done 61000 miles and the drivers door trim has now began to bubble at the top, any ideas how to fix or would this be covered by warranty? :S
  19. faulty flywheel replaced under warranty cured problem, clutch a lot lighter as well.
  20. the noise was due to faulty flywheel which was replaced under warranty
  21. My 2009 Octavia II 1.9 has developed a noise when clutch pedal is half way down. Clutch is working perfectly, the car has done 45,000 miles in first year and the car has been serviced regularly. Any ideas? :S
