Have the big sound system and tthe Columbus in my car and it's started to have poor FM-audio lately, is it something that one could check with VCDS or could it be a hardware failure in some way?

Is it possible to amplify the DAB-reception in some way? Have the RNS510. FM-radio works pretty ok but the DAB-radio is kinda poor sometimes.

So, got a 2014 FL 2.0TDI 170hp 4x4 estate which in my opinion seems to be humming/droning around 2200-2500rpm when going around 100-120km/h on the freeway in sixth gear. Does your ones do that too? It's very noticable when sitting in the rear seat making conversations extra hard. Could it be the mufflers that are crap or is it just like this on all these cars?

Air Quality Sensor - how to change it?
scootie replied to scootie's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Lemme answer my own question. It's located under the plastic cover and mounted on the fresh air cabin intake. Takes 10 min to change. -
2.0L TDI 170hp.. Anyone?

Been getting these error codes about the air quality sensor so I bought a new one, without really thinking about where the old one sits and how to do to replace it. Has anyone done it and know how to? Thanks in advance!

Interesting. Did your car have the big sound package? Is 2GB Ram enough on these head units or does it work poorly when opening a couple of apps? I've seen some units come with 4GB ram instead but then you get a older Android version instead. All these compromises.

Engine takes long time to get up to temperature
scootie replied to scootie's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Any chance this coolant pipe is involved in the DSG-thermostat change? I mean if it will break in the same instance that I start to change the thermostat. Not really sure where this pipe sits though, Is it placed where someone has marked FORGRENER? Massive thank you to all of you for all the help! -

You guys sure art.nr 1K0 121 113 A fits Engine code CFGB ? Doing a search on some Swedish stores gives me another thermostat suggestion, I'm guessing that's the normal thermostat and not the DSG one. -

Thanks for the info! I read about this coolant distribution pipe that could be changed aswell, I'm guessing it's placed in the same spot? And Another dumb question, except removing the air box what should I expect when releasing the rubber hose from the thermostat, will it be pressurised (Spelling) so I'll get sprayed with coolant liquid? Do I have to fill up with red coolant afterwards? -

Yeah, forgot to mention it's a DSG. And about how long time/length it takes I haven't thought about it more than on a 2hr trip the stick/meter sometimes doesn't go up to the middle on the instrument cluster and when just doing a Quick stop on a gas station it seems like it loses alot of heat very quickly. -
It's been doing this for 1 months time or so now, I know it's colder now than it was 1 month ago but it takes a lot longer time for the water temperature to get to correct working temp, I'm guessing the thermostat is starting to give up. How extensive is the work to change it myself? It's a 2014 2.0 TDI 170PS 4x4 Superb Estate.

Don't you have other options, BOLA makes something similar to the Vossens, i even Think BM Autosport have them for a more reasonable price or check on fleabay -
Been googling around for more info about these headunits, I think this one would do the trick but not really sure. Just guessing it would work since it has a built in DSP. Surely don't wanna throw out a lot of cash for nothing. https://www.joyingauto.eu/joying-volkswagen-android-car-sound-system-4gb.html

The Android headunits of today seem to deliver more and more quality and versatility since we all are so connected to the internet and with the Android OS it's possible to use the headunit to so much more than just listen to the radio. But the biggest concern with our cars must be the integration with canbus and different sound packages including external amplifier with DSP. In my case I have a 2014 FL Superb MK2 Estate with the Columbus 3-way system, external amplifier with DSP and that combo didn't work with these aftermarket Android head units before, so does anyone maybe know if the new ones on the market today work fully with our cars?

What specifications do you have on your wheels? ET/Size of tire and wheels? Any problems with rubbing? -
This is a good kit to get started. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wonder-Wheels-Finishing-Kit-Alloy-Cleaner-All-Black-Tyre-Gel-Wheel-Sealant-/222547855498?epid=734223605&hash=item33d0e2c88a:g:aiEAAOSwT5xZQ3D9 And for a note, almost any wheel cleaner is good for the use of cleaning the wheels easily from brake dust, even ValetPRO's Dragons Breath does the job! http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/63754/best-car-wheel-cleaner-2017 http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/60553/best-wheel-sealant-2017

Cleaning leather/ventilated seats
scootie replied to StuartTunstall's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
First of all. Leather should not be shiny. If it's shine it's dirty as ****. Newer cars as ours have a protective film / material so conditioning the leather isn't necessary but cleaning it with a APC from time to time is but if you want to go the extra mile here's how you do it: 1. Clean the leather with a APC ( All purpose cleaner ) that you can buy at any gas station / auto parts shop that sells detailing products. 2. Condition the leather with a leather conditioner, you could find a complete kit at your furniture store or car detailing shop, apply with a microfiber cloth and use another microfibr cloth to remove any remaining parts that hasn't dried. -
As topic says, would they fit and what would be needed to change/adapt to get em fitted into a superb? Why am I asking? I am experiencing some massive lower back pain when going on longer drives with my superb mk2 facelift, I've got the electrical 12-way all leather ones with lumbar support but I must say that I do not like the ride at all and thought that hey, maybe the passat ones would fit bolt on since it's pretty much the same car?

It has Goodyear Efficientgrip performance 225/40/18 (69dB) in the front and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 225/40/18 (71dB) in the rear.
