I ripped out the cover / trim on the left hand storage well (when looking into the car) and have installed a leisure battery with inverter and wired in a CTEK charger connector. To charge it I run a lead from the charger in the garage into the boot - I can close the boot lid with the lead in place so in the morning the battery is fully charged. Was the easiest solution for me without having to run wiring to the in-car battery.

Factory fitted tow bar - gap to bumper.
stevekhart replied to LeMans's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
My mistake, I thought mine was 2”, I think the guy on the phone asked for the gap between bumper and ball, but as the website says it’s bumper to centre of ball. I guess it’s good to know how to measure one’s ball -

When I measured mine the gap between bumper and tow bar was not quite enough to meet the caravan club’s requirements, even though it’s their tow car of the year! If you go on their training course you’ll need to provide your own caravan due to the restriction. I’ve not found it to be a problem towing my folding camper with alko stabiliser. https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/advice-and-training/training-courses/caravan-towing-courses/ ” A car fitted with a towing bracket and functional 13 pin or 12N electric socket. It will also need a minimum of 70-80mm between the bumper and the centre of the towball to allow clearance of the caravan hitch (not applicable to courses at Elddis in Consett).” -
The dealer fit my mudflaps - must admit I've not looked underneath to see what they've removed but I would assume the same as Mr Grump. On the "other" kodiaq forum, page 5 of the faults requiring warranty claim there's a few examples of people with the same issue.

It's the side trim just next to the mud flap. Others have taken them in to get the part replaced after having mud flaps fitted:

Thanks, I'll give it a go

Hi Bluecloud I tried to get the TSR enabled on my Kodiaq but failed, it kept reporting an error after enabling it, maybe I needed to reset the columbus unit? Which steps did you follow, was it these ones: http://forum.obdeleven.com/post/10886/thread ?

Presumably I should wait for the new mudflaps to arrive before complaining of the trim coming lose from where the dealer installed the front mudflaps? It seems to be a common problem with the original mud flaps, which presumably the re-design will resolve.

What are people's opinions on this build
stevekhart replied to abaday789's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
The "waste bin door pocket" I'm sure is cheaper as an aftermarket accessory. I seem to recall that the description on the configurator suggested something about a leather door card, but there's no difference to the door card. -
Me too, also I have a high powered 12V usb adapter plugged into the lighter socket for when I need a quick charge

You may be disappointed - seems like the wireless phone charging has been dropped from build until they stop them from over-heating

My glasses holder creaks if there's anything as heavy as a pair of glasses in it :(

It looks like parts for a completely different vehicle have been bolted on. How come the front grill doesn't have the plastic radar cover in the middle?

I understood these time limited promotions are to encourage customers to take stock that is already on the factory queue - i.e. the pre-emptive orders already placed by the dealerships. If you want to customise your own order rather than take one from the queue, you risk missing out on the promotion.

Actually I did OK in the end: ordered September and advised delivery before Christmas, then in November advised not before February and received a £500 voucher from SUK, then week before Christmas advised car was on its way and I collected 28th Dec. Dealer threw in mats, fitted mud flaps and boot mat and the £500 voucher bought me installed dash cam, roof bars and a roof cycle carrier. Was a frustrating wait but in the end I was very pleased with the result.

My Reading dealer was very restrained on updates until the car arrived, and then suddenly they were all over me

I've bought a pair of Milenco Aero 3's and they fit fine on the bottom of the wing mirrors. AFAIK I'm using the standard pads that came with the mirrors, I bought them used.

I've had diagnostic readings saying that there's air flow problems to the turbo - garage has swapped out all the sensors (at their cost cos it didn't fix the problem!) - how do I / garage know if its the actuator or the turbo? Cant seem to isolate the issue from the diagnostic codes and I don't want to go through the expense of swapping the turbo un-necessarily. Thanks.

Hi all, just placed my order for a new superb elegance 2.0 170 with a couple of toys added. Been browsing the forum and already got some good info. Need to find out about satnav updates - is UK postcode still an issue? Does the variable boot floor help make the load area more usable? Plenty of time to get my answers, I've a feeling it's going to be a long wait for my new baby... Speak soon.
