  1. Got back to the car this evening to find a puddle of liquid. Checked, it's definitely just water so not super worried. But I am curious where it could have come from. It was further back than the engine - approx under the driver's footwell. Our car is an L&K with the pano roof - would this be drain water?
  2. If you don't mind sharing, where are the drain points, what do they look like and how do you clean them?
  3. Interested in any details also for the pano roof on our Yeti (assume it's broadly the same). I bought the genuine VAG unicorn tears lubricant about a year ago but when I went to do the job I wussed out as it looks quite complicated. I seem to remember the instructions say to clear the runners using an air gun which is standard garage equipment but not something I have at home!
  4. We have had a 2014 L&K for 2 years now (second owners). Don't want to jinx it but our roof has also been fine, and the wheels have been perfect (although I don't know if the wheels were refurbed before our ownership, I know they at least had new centre caps at some point). Has been issue free other than a leaking water pump (changed along with timing belt) and dodgy headlamp DRL (had to change whole unit, being LED).
  5. Looking good - seems a shame not to get new centre caps to finish them off
  6. I bought my 230 at 3 years old from a main dealer. Made them do the diff service as part of the sale. Quite frustrating as I definitely knew more about it than the dealership - it took a bit too much effort to explain what it was and why I was asking :/
  7. I had the same thing with headlamps for our L&K Yeti. FL xenon lamps are circa £500 each for genuine Skoda items. Bought a Magneti Marelli one from a parts place for £280. Absolutely identical.
  8. Thanks everyone. Managed to work it out. Posting here for anyone in the future wondering... FIrst, use some kind of lubricant. I sprayed the bars and rubber liberally with silicone spray. When trying to push the rubber strip into the track, don't push down - it won't go. The trick is to push from the side, causing the rubber to flex and it just pops in. I've tried to draw some diagrams to make it clearer Don't try and slide the rubber strip in, even with lubrication. You just end up stretching the rubber and shaving bits of it off with the sharp ends of the aluminium Hope that's helpful to someone in the future!
  9. Yes, that kind of thing. Trying to slide it in from one end is hard and stretches it which doesn't seem ideal. But it's also too stiff to just push into place.
  10. Just got the genuine Skoda roof bars for our Yeti. Didn't really need the instructions to fit them on the roof, it's all pretty easy and obvious. Except the manual doesn't tell you how to install the rubber strip in the T track and that's the bit I'm struggling with. Any tips?
