  1. I like my cycling Alan! But nowhere near as fit as you I suspect... signed for the medium but will be doing the short as I have a 40th party the night before. Still I looked at the route profile and it's a lumpy one, so think it's a good enough challenge!
  2. Sorry, doing the White Rose Classic from Ilkley that day!
  3. Fortunately it wasn't me as I would have been ignoring you! Mine is grey.
  4. I have a set of used (3 months old and unmarked) Octavia hatch FL rear light lenses for sale. They come fully boxed and are in excellent condition. Really suit silver cars! Cost £134 new from Skoda but yours for £95 posted. Please note they are suitable for all FL cars and vRS pre-facelift - other cars won't have reflectors so will fail the MOT. PM me please if you're interested!
  5. Possible from me, couple of days heavy drinking prior though so may still be ruined.
  6. Thanks for that. Looks like I am pretty screwed. Oh well!
  7. I recently flogged my Octavia with the replacement Columbus HU still in, leaving me with the old Stream HU to get rid of. Unfortunately I appear to have lost the code card that came with it... d'oh. Anyone know how I can get it so I can get rid of the now surplus to requirements Stream?
  8. Howdy Having recently let my Octavia go I have the genuine Skoda FL rear lights that I fitted in Jan this year available for sale. I had them on a Mk 2 silver hatch and I reckon they looked really smart! They are used but do come fully boxed and as new. They retail at £67 each but you can have the pair for £100 posted. Please note these are suitable for all FL cars and vRS pre-facelift - other cars won't have reflectors so will fail the MOT. Also rear wiper blade for hatch, still sealed £5 posted Also have a set of headlamp protectors for pre FL Octavia. I used them for travelling on the continent so put the beam converter on them as I couldn't be bothered flat-beaming the xenons, and it's still on, along with some dead continental insects that I'll try and remove for the lucky buyer. Yours for £20 posted. Have some dash trim for a Mk 2 pre FL interior - Stream HU with climate control (took it out to fit Columbus). Unmarked so if yours is marked then you should buy this. £6 posted.
  9. Today I chopped my vRS in after nearly 3 (mainly) happy years. It has been replaced with an RS4 Avant, and I know that it will cost me and arm and a leg but I've wanted a fast Audi for ever and the planets aligned in such a way as it became possible. Apart from the ongoing saga of dash warning lights that was finally fixed at the end of last year after a frustrating 12 months, the car never let me down and after I fitted Columbus it was the perfect spec for me. I did consider getting another one, but the replacement coming put me off a bit even though there are some killer deals out there. I still may in the future become a Skoda owner again (probably after the first tank fill up!) and I wish them well in the future. But most of all I would like to thank you all for your help and comments over the past three years. You have been a tremendous source of information and entertainment, and one or two idiots aside, you are a great bunch too. Happy motoring!
  10. I would suggest that this regulation applies inside teams, not between different teams. Sauber is a customer team, using Ferrari engines. If this were to be proven, which of course is impossible, it would effectively be saying that customer teams can never finish above manufacturers if the manufacturer didn't want them to i.e. didn't want them to race. This to me destroys the sport, as I want to see motor racing.
  11. Completely agree. Man who is being touted as an imminent replacement for the underperforming Massa in Ferrari engined car told to maintain position so as not to beat the factory team. Then mysteriously loses concentration (probably thinking about his imminent move to Ferrari) and messes up the potential overtake. Can you imagine Mercedes telling McLaren to stay in position? Typical politics from Ferrari, leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
  12. Used my points up last weekend as this has been on the cards for a long time now.
