  1. My car goes to a very reputable Vag specialist for its 76k service on Saturday, whilst there its also having done a few things that were advisories on the MOT.

console bushes + arb and arb bushes

Am i able to change both of these myself rather than pay extra labour to the garage to fit them?

Im looking at powerflex ones simply to match the rest of the bushes on the car, does anyone have any experience of removing the arb and replacing?

    may thanks guys

  2. what your all missing for a bargain £25 is the new Autosmart wax

Its really easy on and off and its awesome.

Autosmart is often overlooked for over the counter or recommended by friends products, but being a detailer myself its all i tend to use up until final finish stage! Autosmart comes recommended on detailing world for all you people that love a good recommendation before buying anything

  3. Im thinking of either getting my 16" vrs alloys powdercoated/painted or swapping/px for a different set.

If i was to sell them or p/x what sort of price should i be looking for?

The have no kerbing at all but the paint has flaked a little bit on the two fronts round the edge, not all the way around... The two rears are near perfect. 3 tyres are bridgestone turanza (2 nearly new) with lots of tread, 1 is a budget with lots of tread (nearly new tbh).

Theres a few shocking sets going on ebay for over £250 and theres some singles without tyres for 80-100 each...

  4. would be defo interesting in transferring some of my standard bits and pieces plus cash your way, im only round the corner too.

i know its only ifs and buts, but lol id be interested in exchanging for standard or buying with the following

    SEAT Momo front Strut brace.

17" Inovit (Yoko Parada Spec 2 tyres with over 7mm tread each).

    6000K HID's.

    Team Heko wind deflectors.

    Smoked side repeaters.

    Lamin-x'd rear facelift lights

  5. You can try:

    Cleanyourcar

    Elite car care

or for lots of tips try

    Detailingworld

You cant go wrong with a decent wash method, dry, then polish, then final finish

For a polish... super resin polish is one of the most under rated polishes on the market it really easy awesoem stuff

Then finish with a good sealant or wax, or both

i would recommend Dodo, get a wax matched for a dark car, sealent there are loads to choose and not much difference in terms of quality if your applying a wax on top, smartsealant is good as is jetseal 109 and also zaino clear seal

  6. As above its easy

Took me and the Girlfriend 3 hours to do them all?

If you werent so far away i would say pop in all ill help you...

Bit of advice, when trying to get the shock out of the carrier, use lots of wd40... Then get the standard skoda jack and place between hub and bottom of spring housing on the shock

wind away and out she comes :)

  7. I did this mod last night along with the egr bypass mod

    Armed with the following tools:

Screwfix washing machine waste hose £3.17

Coca cola bottle cap - free

    electrical Tape - free

    jubilee clip - free

    cable ties - free

egr pipe i used an old bolt and screwed into the end - free

It took about ten mins, most of this time was spent routing the pipe and jacking the car up

it really is the easiest mod i have ever done, and keeping all standard parts makes it very reversible

  8. will do mate, ill possibly even set up kits to buy dependant on how good i can get the parts to fit together.

I've since sourced a company called nuneaton hose and fittings which is like 1min from my house lol, so im taking the ibiza trumpet to them tomorrow and there gonna help me decide which is the best hose to use and the easiest way to secure it best :).

They said they have some 98mm id black hosing which will look more stock than blue or silver.

Ill report back with prices etc and see if i can get any interest

  9. Hi all after reading over about 20 different threads i have decided to not buy all of the parts for the PD160 but instead source other parts.

I have ordered the trumpet part for £16.57 from my local Parts specialist, this will give me two holes of the same size (roughly 90mm), one on the airbox and one within the intake/trumpet part.

I then ordered some of this My link for £27incl delivery.

My question is lol, will it work?
