  1. http://www.skoda-auto.de/SiteCollectionDocuments/Serienreifen_Skoda_2014_07_1.pdf This is the link to all the official tyre sizes. Scroll down to page 208 for the Yetis. Look for your EU Type Approval No. (At the top of the page under "Gen.-Nr."). In the left hand column you will see the engine codes (Motorkennbuchstabe). These donate the first 4 letters of your of engine codes. The "91", "93" or "94" part denotes the weight load. This is the minimum permitted. Hope this helps you make your decision.
  2. The new rules for BFG headlights can be found here: http://bfgnet.de/advice/vlo/change-to-headlights-requirements.html
  3. I am not sure if the Leon has the same xenon lights as the Mk3 Octavia, however I know that this type of flat beaming headlight has been acceptable for BFG testing since last year.
  4. I took the car to Autohaus Brinker in Isselhorst Germany. They installed my new headlamps and simply coded the rear foglights for both to work. They even activated my cornering front fogs for nothing at the same time.
  5. Does anybody know how to activate the 2nd rear fog light on the FL Yeti? I had this activated on my 2009 Octavia. I will be going to Germany and the dealer said they could deliver the Yeti with both rear fog lights activated, but for £90 + VAT!! I have recently aquired a VCDS, however after searching the forum for the last 4 hours, I have not been able to find anything on this. Many thanks.
  6. Sorry guys, I'd love to help but I'm out in Germany and have no contacts with a VCDS.:S I definately don't want to tease you all, as I myself have had help as well when needed. I just want to let you all know that this is still possible on FL models. Simon, This feature was definately not discontinued after a 58 plate. I asked at the local garage, where they did it for me, when I exported it to Germany in December. They told me it was pretty simple to do. Any dealer should be able to do it with the latest dealer hardware/software that they use. The standard answer of it can't be done anymore, unfortunately sounds like a typical answer of ignorance . My car was not a stock car. It took 13 weeks to be delivered and was built to my individual spec in week 38 last year as a UK RHD. I needed the other fog light activating for Germany to be road legal here. Now rear fog lights both work.
  7. Both rear fog lights on my FL MY10 have been activated by the dealer here in Germany.
  8. I'm afraid you've been misinformed here. The German equivalent of "Road Fund Licence" is "Kfz-Steuer" (Vehicle Tax). It is worked out as follows: Petrol vehicles are charged €2 per 100cc, so 1.4TSi = €28 & 1.8TSi = €36 Diesel vehicles are charged €9.50 per 100cc, so 1.6TDi = €152 & 2.0TDi = €190 On top of this there is a CO2 charge. Until 2011, the first 120g are free, anything above this is €2 per gramme of CO2: 1.4TSi = 148g-120g=28g = €56 1.8TSi = 158g-120g=38g = €78 1.6TDi = 119g<120g=0g = €0 2.0TDi = 150g-120g=30g = €60 These added together make your Kfz-Steuer: 1.4TSi = 148g-120g=28g = €28+€56=€84 1.8TSi = 158g-120g=38g = €36+€78=€114 1.6TDi = 119g<120g=0g = €152+€0=€152 2.0TDi = 150g-120g=30g = €190+€60=€250 On top of all that, Trucks are also charged a toll for using the German autobahns and there is a discussion going on whether motorists should also start paying tolls as well, however this would be a long way off. The idea that the British are the highest taxed motorists in Europe would be hotly disputed by the Germans I believe.
  9. Thanks Dmac, you edited the explanation in after my last comment, so my question has been answered now. Thanks.
  10. What are people doing different, as some have a picture that is displayed without clicking on anything and others only have a link to an external site which you need to click on to see. How can you simply display the picture, without needing to click on a link?
  11. How do you upload pictures now? I can only see a button for entering a URL.
