  1. You might try these people: https://www.overthetop.co.uk/ who could make you a custom set.
  2. Had the same problem when my battery failed. Once the car was going again after being recovered, this fault remained until a new battery was fitted at the dealership.
  3. Mine was in for 20,000 mile service last Friday, mentioned the noise and was informed of the replacement bushes to be fitted. Invited to book in to get the work done. Dealership had plenty of tech info about the problem and affected part numbers etc....
  4. Hmm...please can you share where that version was downloaded from, as this page isn't found in the versions I've seen either.
  5. Ridgeway Oxford, previously Jewsons. Excellent all round. I firmly believe that any relationship is only as good as what you put into it. Not saying you shouldn't always receive excellent service but the service can be even better than excellent if you build a positive relationship with the people at the dealership.
  6. I just prefer 10k intervals, and with mileage at 700 per week I can usually predict exactly when it will be due. In the past in variable intervals I'd not get enough warning. Also I prefer to be able to say that "you only had it here a few k miles ago so should have noticed xyz" if there are issues. It's certainly not necessary, just my preference.
  7. So, booked in for 10,000 mile first oil change / inspection service on Friday. Getting the recall done plus the now official modification to the O/S washer hose (confirmation from Skoda that removing the back pressure regulator is supposed to resolve weak spray). What else, based on experiences here, should I get the dealership to check? And is anyone else here at 10K miles yet? (Actually it's 9,520 odd but I am clocking over 700 a week) :-)
  8. Having followed up with my dealership as promised, they have confirmed that Skoda DO have knowledge of the issue and as Feedan says above, their fix is to remove the back pressure regulator and replace with standard hose. The positive is that this information is now available to dealerships directly via their mechanism of contacting the factory. The evidence provided from this forum was helpful in establishing that there is a real problem. Mine is booked in for it's 10,000 mile service on Friday, the recall, and this modification. Fingers crossed!
  9. The one controlling access to Brunel's Three Bridges at Windmill Lane near Hanwell, London is particularly horrid - I am going through this every day. Luckily at the moment someone's trashed both the iron posts :-)
  10. Unlikely anyone's had to do this on the latest version of the Columbus unit. Go on - why do you want / need to do this?
  11. A lower seat position in 3 then? I wondered about doing that. Would you share a bit more about your seat setup if you have time? thanks!
  12. You can switch on the reversing camera whilst travelling forward, but only you're stationary or almost stationary and at very slow speeds. As soon as you reach 3mph or similar it turns back off. Just press the parking sensor switch to activate it manually. I also use it to see if someone's approaching the car so I can pop the boot open for them.
  13. that's exactly what my dealership did first time - said there was a missing / faulty O ring and they'd taken one off the superb in the showroom. I pointed out it was just as bad as before. I'm due to go back and tell them more, but will do so with the body of evidence built up here when I have a chance to do so.
  14. Thank you VERY much for the rapid response and pictures - if it ever stops raining I'll have a go at fitting the camera this week. I also went for the TV 750...Mike
