  1. Jaysus!! Massive improvement over standard, boost is unbelievable! Fantastic overtaking ability. I've had cars mapped before, but this is a transformation! Only day one, but can you tell I'm impressed?!
  2. As you're local, Durham I'm guessing, how much is one of these boxes?? For the 184 vrs.
  3. I had a pd vrs and with 21k on the clock, after a blast to Cornwall from the north east, dpf went. I have a cr now and the difference is massive, far, far better!
  4. This occured to my 2008 vrs cr tdi, having just driven to Cornwall, a 500 mile journey late evening and night time, at a good pace! Limped it into Falmouth Skoda, who did the diagnostic and it came back DPF 90% full of soot and a fire warning! A new DPF and sensor, £1400 on warranty, but my car only has 22k on it and 4 months warranty left, to say I am concerned is an under statement!! I was told that if the engine had been a PD there would have been fewer problems as they are seen as being bomb proof!! Dealer said they had seen quite a few with this problem!
  5. Eclipse of Sunderland had no problems remapping my mates 59 plates petrol vRS, took ages to get past the security on my cr170 vRS on a 58 plate! Cracking maps too!
  6. Attempted to get mine remapped today. The guy said he needed to leave the car for 40 minutes before he could start the up load. But for some reason the car had been left ages, but wouldn't take it because it believed it had been started!!
  7. He came recommended by the Skoda dealership my mate bought his vRS from! That's where we got his number from! I like the sts, just a bit much at the mo! Don't get me wrong, looks awesome and a good price, just two little ones to pay for the visit of Santa!
  8. http://www.eclipse-performance.com/ Guy says he can get 220bhp from the cr170, with air filter and remap and 240bhp for the petrol vRS. There is a discounted rate, because of the festive time! But as there are two of us interested in a map, then we negotiated a deal.
  9. Getting 'A deal' by Eclipse, my mates new vRS petrol and my 170 cr, remapped for £250 each and a deal with window tinting. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences of them? They seem friendly and knowledgable? Anyone?
  10. Getting a remap after crimbo, but I'm wanting a new panel filter. Which would people recommend I've seen one on the bay, £36 by pipercross, just I'm unsure of any of the part numbers, can anyon help?
  11. I've had my 58 plate cr 170 vrs and I'm over the moon with it! Tyres on the front haven't lasted long, but all round, what a cracking car, thoroughly happy with it, and, touch wood, there have been no issues. You will get 50+ mpg if you drive like miss daisey, but I get mid 40s and still very happy!
  12. Sorry about the re post, but anyone know of any deals on these??
  13. What tyres are you all fitting? Mine have lasted 12500 on the fronts!! What do you think of Toyos??
  14. Air bags have gone off on a a motor that I'm thinking of getting, just wondering how hard is it and is there anything I need to know to make it safe and easy?
  15. I paid 14k for a 58 plated uk one, that was 10 months old with 10k on the clock, having spoken to the motorpoint team. I was a bit put off with the non uk spec, but to each their own. I can't believe how quick these cars are. I had a vectra 150 cdti with a power box on, and the octy is so much quicker. A million miles better than the vectra. Top choice. I love mine. I'm a right sad git, everytime I look out the window or walk past it, I have to stop and admire it.
