whats the voltage on the battery? should be around 12v, whats the voltage under starting? should drop voltage to maybe 9v but much lower and it indicates your battery isnt holding charge under load, whats the voltage when running? around 14v is normal if its not then the alternator isnt charging the battery and the battery is flat. my money is on the battery.

sounds like a good alternative to a remap, do they quote rough bhp figures? i havent heard of that company, some of that £400 you'll get back should you ever sell though?

thought i'd share my findings. didnt nessecarily know what to expect after doing this, however i always prefer to have a stubby gear stick as apposed to the large long one. i my opinion although it improves the feel of the gear stick to a certain extent, i dont rate it as highly as others. there is no change in the mechanical shift mechanism so dont expect miracles! i done it purely for cosmetic reasons but i wouldnt say its changed dramatically

what % are your tints front and rear?

there should be a list of recommendations for after remap use, like dont plant it under 2k or in 6th etc remaps are so common now but i think people could be saving themselves a few quid if they knew how to treat the car with a bit mechanical sympthy.

is it possible to get to the skoosher tank from under the car?

when i complained to my dealer about a head light with mistin in it, and also the interior of my car doing the same, he said the skoda used approved warrenty didnt cover misting, it would cover actual water running inside the glass

i'd also be interested in knowing what other people have used. the dealer wanted £200 for it when i was going to pick the car up

cheers for the heads up. are you just on standard shocks though? coming from a seat arosa, almost any part was interchangeable with those from a lupo. i hoped it would be the case here. ideally i'd want to go for coilovers, but if was going to do it i'd want to do it right and get KW's at £500 odd quid. and i dont want to go that low. just get rid out the stupid arch gap

Are parts from these two car interchangeable? in the long term i'm looking to lower my vRS on springs and shocks. but the 40mm ones that are commonly available won't go far enough to get it sitting how i would like. but spax do 50mm springs for the polo 1.9tdi, would they be likely to fit?

little bit of an update. drove the swift and was on my way to glasgow this morning to drive one that i expected to buy. stopped of at the skoda garage on the way, drove the vrs, loved it, and then bought it lol. its a 56 plate with 30k, full skoda service history, silver, and its immaculate. window price was 8k, i got him down too 7600 with a years tax and mot. was quite pleased. picking it up thursday!! i'm going to go buy little things just now, i'll need a seat cover for when i'm at work, quite fancy new head light bulbs, i'll do a search and find out what you guys use. if anyone can recommend anything else i'm happy to hear it. thanks scott
