They definitely like a drink  - that's for sure - but on a long motorway run I can actually crack about 34 mpg (provided I stay close to the speed limit). 😇

However, it wasn't bought to drive every day - I certainly couldn't afford to do that - rather I bought it for a bit of fun and for family trips away & the like.

Its ability to cover ground at speed comfortably & unobtrusively is a real winner - it's a lovely thing but again should be used sparingly if you aren't to bankrupt yourself.

Ha - yeah, it is a lot of fun and the reason I bought the car - not least because they are so rare.

The best part is that apart from a couple of clues (quad tailpipes and a teeny little boot spoiler) the only way tailgating Audis, BMWs etc know what it is when they try and drive through you is when you leave them for dead..

It's got 260 hp which is actually 40 down on the same engine as installed in the VW Passat R36, but to be honest it's still more than plenty. And it makes a fantastic noise!

Not a daily driver though because if used as intended, it'll drain the tank far too quickly and it's addictive..
