Is the skoda fabia vrs mk2 178 or 180 bhp?
Brian69 replied to New2this's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
180PS (Pferdestärke) or 177.5 BHP in old-fashioned terms. -
bought fab mk2 estate, now im worried.

Good little town, Accrington - paid it a few visits (football related). I hope all is good with the car as they are great fun - think the estate is better proportioned (and I had a hatch). -
The VAG one you buy online, so there’s no salesperson involved. I agree it may give a false sense of security.
-
I used to think so but after reading some of the stories on here... Unless it’s a vRS I certainly wouldn’t bother.

Just do a few border runs to Carlisle when you’re in Girvan. -

I like the Potenzas as well - and I live somewhere a little wetter! Certainly far better than the Dun(p)lops that came with the vRS - traction light flashing up was a regular occurrence - think I’ve only managed it once or twice in the Polo. -
Saw a new Polo in the flesh at Arnold's the other day (not a GTi) - very noticeably bigger than the 6R / 6C.

Up GTI .... will there be a Citigo version ever?
Brian69 replied to vrskeith's topic in Škoda Citigo
One of these would have suited me nicely but Polo'd up now. Assume there isn't even room for a space-saver? -

While the Lupo is quicker 0-62 and top end (which is irrelevant unless you’re on a track) I’d imagine the Up will pull better mid-range due to it having more torque. -

Not if you do a 1.8T conversion on the Lupo. -

Apart from being slower - progress... No doubt it will have a glovebox and boot light though . -

Thought you might have traded the vRS in for something more commodious - you notched up a decent amount of miles (in approx. 12 months?) and assume they were enjoyable . -

Out of loyalty to Edd I won’t be watching. -
More door only? Whit?!
-
Disappointing there's no step up in performance (on paper) anyway - 0-62 and torque figures remain pretty much identical.
-
Arnold having his 'Real Sale' again - £1,000 off delivery-mileage GTIs - much cheapness.

I never got blown off when I bought an extended warranty

Nightmare fabia vrs engine replacement needed!
Brian69 replied to Jav_110's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Depressing to read about this and I feel for the OP - to hear the warranty provider knock back on the grounds that the issue existed (so they claim...) prior to inception of the warranty, well It just makes me even more sceptical about non-manufacturer warranties but you should be able to have more confidence in one that is actually sold by a manufacturer. -
Aye, I noticed that upgrade - interesting to see where my old cars have ended up.

Looks like it's no more. RIP.

New (to me) Fabia VRS 1.4 TSI without warranty
Brian69 replied to Ramp's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
In the circumstances (lack of background / service) you definitely did the right thing walking away from the vRS.
