The rear didn't have anything on when I took the door card off, so didn't know if it was covered or not. I may remove that card and pour water down the window. Only water in the footwell is from where its been entering through the bottom of the door.

I've done drivers and rear passenger doors recently. As can be seen in the pics I've not blocked the holes and left the tigerseal to dry over 24 hours and added a line of waterproof tape....and somehow still getting a puddle on the door seal. I can only assume I need new door seals as there is no way water will be getting past the sheeting etc. It was whilst jetwashing the car and loaded the window edge with the hose. I shall be ordering new seals and hope that helps the leaks.

Hopefully one comes up...with black interior. Door cards and xenons will be purchased. If not then I'll retrofit projector lights and send white bits from the door cards off for a re trim at some point. Mad the cars aren't worth a great deal but will want to make it the best it can be haha. Hopefully one day the prices will climb..doubtful mind!

I think I clicked onto Facebook just after he had posted, plus Smithy tagging me in it too haha. There's actually a build thread for it already but I think I shall start a second for it. Just needs a few bits then it will be perfect. Plus I think it will be with me for life and forged etc in the future. So be worth doing a new thread. I think I looked over your thread. I shall check again once I've bought the comfort indicator etc. Very impressive to find one with most things ticked. I wouldn't mind finding a set of xenons too.

They are the seats I shall be getting from Allan bud. I did want to keep it as OEM looking as possible and have original switches and use golf wiring. But I think I'm going to get the wiring and switches from a golf and put the switches in the ashtray. Just have it as that for the time being then think about changing it in the future. The car I'm picking up has factory sunroof, cruise and rear sensors. So want to do like you've done and get most options fitted as possible. Think I asked you on insta about the indicator comfort signals the other day.

Morning all. I shall picking up a set of the above mentioned mk4 golf recaros in the coming weeks. I've searched for info on adding the heated element but to no avail. My question is.. Has anyone fitted them with the original Octavia Mk1 heated switch using the Golf mk4 wiring looms that are available? Are they a straight plug and play or could the mk1 heated loom fit the seats? Cheers

Looked at these a while ago for the 245. Go well with the seats but have red stitching so only downside.

When you say to the missis who's learning not to kerb the wheels....then you do it yourself.

What's the car used for? Daily you can't go wrong with what you have now if you've had no issues. 16k there's a lot of cars around for that money. If like me the car is hardly used, first gen rs3. V10 m5. Rs6 etc etc. But for daily can't go wrong with the octy. I love my 245. Ticks all the boxes and my first new car so love the connectivity and comfort. I really fancy a saloon rs3 in the coming years but very happy with the 245.

I'm amazed people are still waiting for their 245. Have skoda given much compensation for those waiting for so long?

Once that oil is warm....crack on. Just don't sit with cruise on for first 200 miles. Mixed driving. Surely better for the pistons etc to used at different rev ranges than getting upto 2.5k and changing. I certainly didn't red line it from the off but didn't potter about. Look at aks tuning write up on their estate. They thrashed it for first 200 or so miles then swapped oil out. And let's face it that octy has some serious power and is still going strong.

Has anyone got the dsg noise on upshift as yet? I know I know some don't like it or it sounds tacky...but I test drove a pre fl 230 dsg sone years ago and liked the noise then. My 245 on 2k doesn't make a single note.

Got it working. Deleted my car on the skoda connect app and 're entered it. Working again. Only get skoda connect for a year free?

Now not working on my app. 500 error code. I've got the white globe but no traffic.

How have you got around the warranty with adding the springs etc?
