Yeti tows superbly but is not heavy enough to tow very heavy vans - mine is 1350 KG Max.

Towbar fitter and coding - anyone contemplating, read this!

Thanks Graham for clarification My comment was very misleading The 13 pin I now have is brilliant and my comment about preferring 7 pin relates to the considerable aggravation I had when dealers 4 years ago had no idea about 13 pin. Things have improved - mostly -

Jones workshop in Manchester sorted out my improperly installed hardware for a 13 pin socket and then coded. It has worked perfectly for the last four years. Good to see that they are still doing a grand job. The best advice I can give is to fit a 7pin socket - not 13 !! -
Now have 13 pin connection after 4 years of an adaptor. Its much easier to keep dry and feels more "connected"

After several random bongs I have just replaced battery (4 1/2 yrs old) as weather will soon get colder - no more random bongs PS Should have also said signs of battery not turning over engine robustly even with good charge level.

PF Jones sorted mine out after difficulties elsewhere.

Worth repeating that the appearance of discs is not in itself a factor in determining pass or fail.

Cambelt change and Haldex oil service (intervals and cost)

Presumably that explains why I have heard nothing from my servicing dealer re my now 4 year old 140 -
Great result Johann.

Almost the same with mine about a year ago. Sorted very quickly be dealer. As wakev says something to do with the slider.

The caps are kept fixed by a large circular clip inside which on mine needed to be eased off using a small screwdriver before pushing cap out.

The same DPF story told 20 times is not 20 DPF failures. Being honest with yourself about your actual useage is the key. If in doubt get petrol.

Come back Poirot.

Before getting winter tyres I purchasd a pair of sno socks. Take them with the van for grass/mud but have not had to use them yet.

Trailer Assist vs stabilisers (for peeps with caravans only)
geordiebroon replied to 900000's topic in Skoda Yeti
Not quite your question Johann but the Caravan Club van insurance gives a discount if van is equipped with its own stability software but no discount if stability software is part of the towcar software. Yeti does tow a lot better than previous VW Bora ( both with Alko) but Yeti is a lot heavier and also 4WD. Never had any snaking/wiggling at all with yeti some of which could be down to control by TSA. -
Trips from Manchester to Liverpool (almost flat) on consecutive days produced a difference of 4mpg in maxidot figures because of a steady head wind on second day.

Great to have things as they should be. Congrats to all concerned.

which is more bulletproof engine 1.8 TSI or 2.0 TDI ?

In 32,000 miles I wouldn't have known that I have a DPF if it hadn't been for this forum -
Isn't the Hill Descent Control limited to 12mph. ?

Work done by an independant garage does not void the warranty if the garage uses manufacturers(or equivalent) parts. One good thing to come from the EU ? However if all work is done by independant garages during the warranty period the the chance of a goodwill gesture from Skoda for a claim outside warranty is minimal.

As part of the Elegance package leather is reasonable value. I wanted light upholstery so had to go for Ghobi. At 30,000 miles they look beautifully mature :-)

5 star for reliability - but now dropped to 3 star by Which?
geordiebroon replied to docc's topic in Skoda Yeti
Still doesn't alter the fact that my Yeti is a great great car - age 3 - and I am happy to keep it for another 3 yrs or so. As a Which subscriber I would not have been happy if the rating had stayed at 5* -
I seem to recall that publishing the name of the supplying dealer is discouraged!! I don't however have the documentation to hand. In any event the supplying dealer does change from time to time. I would use DtD again without hesitation

Just to say collected Yeti which was blowing out lovely cool air and sparkling after a shampoo and valet. Very happy
