Morning,
Have a 2020 Skoda iV, and away for the weekend so don’t have my normal scanning stuff.
Yesterday, whilst driving the traction control would randomly kick in when it had no need to. Then after a while got a plethora of lights and messages , (Error: TCS / ABS / Tyre pressure / Hill hold etc) and regen braking stopped working. Fine, must be a wheel sensor. Annoyingly, after driving a little while it self recovered, only to start happening again half hour later. If you’re going to break, just break!
But this morning when driving, an error message stating something along the lines of “Engine must run on” came up, very shortly followed by “maximum engine speed 1200 RPM” which isn’t fantastic when sitting on the motorway and was unable to select battery only mode. Turning it off and on again cleared the engine problem, but happened again half an hour later.
Anyone seen this before? Don’t have VCDS with me so can’t plug it in, and waiting for some garages around here to open up so it can drop it in. Most of it points towards a dodgy wheel sensor, but the engine cutting out seems unrelated (unless it’s getting confused by the wonky wheel sensor) Don’t remember seeing an engine management light, only ABS/TCS/power steering/tyre pressure.
