  1. Have looked for a control box and no joy there. Will try the reverse thing tomorrow. Undercover parking at work so I won't look mad. Any ideas on how to get them out?
  2. Having a slight issue in that rather than beeping in proximity theyre just double beeping, any ideas? Also I want to pop them out to colour code them. Firstly is this possible or will it affect them and secondly do they just pop out or do I need to take the rear bumper off? They're oem as far as I know. Cheers in advance.
  3. Cheers. It's hardly audible below 30 but no change when cornering. Have tried coasting in neutral and still there sO I'm guessing not driveshaft then. is boosting and accelerating fine too. It has to go in next Friday as the window reg has broken so I'll ask them to check then. Just wanted an idea to know how much to save haha
  4. Any ideas, even if its what a wheel bearing or driveshaft etc will sound or manifest itself like?
  5. Hi all. As the title started driving this morning and notice a droning/whining sound from the front end. More noticeable around 50/60mph. Sounds more engine/driveshaft based rather than wheel bearings, but I'm no mechanic. Whatever it is it sounds expensive! Any ideas? Could this be time to trade the ol girl in for a new model!!!
  6. Haven't taken any pics sorry. It's a standard pod holder stuck in the corner near the A pillar. Looks fine to me. I think if you want a close to oem look without the hassle of fabricating an A pillar mount then the steering wheel centre mount is pretty good but £40/50 I think. Check out robs pimp my Skoda site as he has one.
  7. Just fitted my Tim boost gauge this week. Was 10 from eBay 2nd hand. 5 for 4m of silicone tubing and 2.50 for a green bulb. No need to spend that much. Took 2hrs to fit due to removing trim an locating the bloody grommet behind the glovebox.
  8. When you do it can you pop a pic up as I'm thinking of doing this.
  9. Fibally got around to installing my boost gauge but can't seem to get the light switch out to finish wiring it up. I've checked out robs guide, pushed the switch in and turned but it doesn't seem to budge. Goes about quarter inch clockwise and then nothing. Any other hints or tips?
  10. Can you tell me how you got your light switch out. I tried following robs guide of pushing the switch in the turning clockwise but that doesn't seem to work.
  11. Hi. I'm going to try and fit my boost gauge tomorrow but wonder what needs to be removed so I can feed it from the dash to the grommet? What's the easiest route? Also what do I need to remove to get access to the FPR?
  12. Jesus that's one shiny engine bay!
  13. Dave and Loli. Cheers for those links that exactly what I was after. And if I don't need a no buzz piece I've seen a nice brass one on fleabay. I actually read somewhere that you needed a no buzz one as the engines were prone to it. But if thats not the case then bonus! Cheers again guys yet again knowledge on here far surpasses anywhere else.
  14. Cheers for the responses. I was going to put the t piece on the fpr. Is that not correct then? Tapping into the manifold sounds tricky! I'll have to look around for a no buzz as I want it doing right rather than just buying any old t piece.
  15. Hi I've just bought myself a 2bar Tim boost gauge and was looking to fit it this weekend. I hope its alright as im only running a standard map Unfortunately awsome have sold out of t pieces. Does anyone know where else I can get one of these "no buzz" t pieces and also what diameter tubing I need for it? Last but not least does anyone know where I can find an idiot proof fitting guide! Thanks in advance
  16. Was the hazard working ok. If so let me know how much p&p is and how you would like paying.
  17. Yep scuttle off. Grommet in place and seemed fairly solid. A fair bit o crud but not too much. The drain hole at the front wing side of te scuttle is now well and truly clear. Got the vac on it. But don't tell the missus!
  18. Yeah I cut therm brand slightly but made a deeper cover with ducktape so shouldn't get water in through there. I do have front mudflaps, so beat with wheel off then eh? I've been. Heckling around the doors and can't see any obvious marks where water has come through and none of the carpet on the sides is wet, just the floors.
  19. Will do the arch liner. I assumed its a few screws taken off and can be done with the wheels still on? And yeah I have an after market stereo. Just that though. No amp, but did replace the speakers.
  20. Ok checked the scuttle today and it didn't seem too bad. A quick question though. The plastic bits that cover the holes where the roof rack attaches are missing on the drivers side. One front and one rear. Do the channels under these drain anywhere. Have I just found the obvious place where the water is coming from!
