  1. I have had the 1.4 act 150ps & currently have the 150ps tdi. The Diesel IMO is the better engine, especially for a Superb. I found the MPG on the Petrol 1.4tsi ACT poor & 25% below the manufacturers quoted MPG ( Even driven steadily ). After one years ownership of the 1.4 ACT in a Leon ST FR the best it ever returned on a long steady motorway run unladen & just me driving was 52 MPG. Needless to say i parted with it & got a Superb mk3 150 Diesel. Again this is my personal opinion & suggest you have a drive in both , i am however achieving over 60 MPG on steady runs in the Superb Diesel on a regular basis.

Hope this info is of help.

  2. I specced on my Sportline :

    Heated windscreen ( glad i did )

Heated washer nozzles  ( glad i did )

Heated Front seats ( glad i did )

Traffic sign recognition ( for £85 a no brainer & find it useful )

    Spare wheel ( a must IMO )

Electric boot opening ( personal preferance )

Rear view camera  ( Not essential on the Hatch IMO )

Rear wiper FOC  ( find it useful )

    Colour chosen : Business Grey

As other members have said it is your personal choice really. 7 months in & loving the Sportline. (150 Tdi )

  3. Heated rear seats ? Do you have Tin Lids ( Kids ) ? Not a necessity unless a must have IMHO. Rear view Camera some say is a must, being such a large car. I specced it on mine, but i have to say i hardly rely on it. Traffic sign recognition i added & must say i like it (£85) & with it you can add a couple of other things with somebody that has VCDS saving a fair few hundred pounds over a Factory option order. Lane assist i believe is one of them, another Forum member will be able to tell which options in total. I have heated screen & washer jets & glad i added them. Spare wheel a must have. Front sensors would be a good swap over heated rear seats. I love my Sportline & i am sure you will.

  4. Great news, enjoy your cars! Just before christmas heard from my dealer that mine is going into production on week 1. So should get it in February instead of March. How long did your Sportlines take? Of course we'll have to add a few days to that due to longer transportation...

Ordered my Sportline H/B 150Tdi 15th August, collected from the dealer 3rd October. Well pleased with it, the standard alloys are better in the flesh & a doddle to clean, even behind the spokes.

  5. Hi Penguin 17,

I have had my Superb Sportline 150TDi Manual hatch for 6 weeks now & love it. I opted for rear view camera but if i am honest can do without, i rely on the sensors but each to their own i guess. Plus added Heated front screen & washers, heated front seats, rear wiper (FOC), electric power boot opening, TSR & very importantly spare wheel.

I find the 150 TDi sufficient & could not justify an extra £1200 for the 190 & AD Blue every 5 - 7000 miles. Once the warranty has expired you can always Re-map for a fraction of the cost of £1200 up front. I ordered mine mid August & collected 3rd October (6 weeks in total).

Any questions you have feel free to DM me.

    Regards Tisca
