First world problem I know.! I don't see many Moon white Edition's on the road so I am basically making my purchase decision based upon YouTube Video. I even order the Black Triglav's to get the look. However, I have seen the Quartz Greys and the do look very sophisticated in that colour. Obviously they are more popular for a reason and do suit the car well especially with the beige interior. So I've got a week to confirm with dealer before it's too late to make any changes to the spec. I'm planning to keep the car 4 yrs and tbh Im not one to be out cleaning it every weekend.. Given the above what would most ppl on this forum choose? Moon White / Black Leather or Quartz Grey / Beige Leather.

This photo has got my reconsidering switching my order back (from moon white with black triglav's) to Quartz Grey and standard Sirius wheels.. My dealer is really going to hate me!

OK so i provisionally had BW22 - but dealer contacted me today to confirm BW26! Which mean registering the car for the end of June deadline for the £1000 fuel card won't happen. I have ordered the 2.0 TSI and am also a bit confused as to what actually engine this be now? I ordered the car in the middle of March 2018

I had the 2.0 petrol - it was very impressive. Very refined. But you had to rev it to drive it fast. What killed it for me was lack of an auto. Netherlands for example gets the auto. Mazda UK have decided only manual. However, I have to say the manual gearbox was amazingly good. I think if the CX-9 had come to UK it would have been very difficult choice against the Kodiaq

I nearly brought a CX-5 - i had one for a w/e test drive and was really impressed. But unfortunately it was a tad too small. God knows why Mazda haven't brought the CX-9 to Europe, i'm sure it would sell really well for them.

I normally liking reading all the Australian reviews. As the don't seem as biased towards diesels as they do in the UK. Regardless, I was surprised the 5008 took the win here. 100% agree - you can easily justify 2.0 TSI if your doing less than 12k per annum.. But 20k a year with weekly m/way runs, I would go with 2.0 TDI.

Yeh i like it to, and you won't see many on the roads. i think with the chrome roof rails and window surrounds it will look good, especially if you get the black crater or triglav's.

But i had already got carried away as it was. Options you should consider are the 'rear view camera' and 'virtual boot pedal', also the rear set backrest release (it's £95)

quick bit of googling - and aside from Sportline, i can only find a Karoq that would like an Edition - i actually like it, but i don't think i'm that brave to chance it

Pretty much the same spec and engine i've gone for... 2.0 TSI.. hmm don't forget the £95 for the remote release of the rear seats from the boot meteor grey. I have not seen that colour before, i would check with dealer if that adds any delay in build time though?

Maybe justifying it to myself - he's in the motor trade and i don't pretend to know anything about engines. I might well look into adding ACC as from memory it wasn't that expensive! I'm still wrangling with colour choice - i went for Quartz Grey with Beige leather.. But now thinking i should change it white with Black leather!!!

Hi Si1978 - i am in exactly the same situation..ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and have a BW22 allocated. What colour did you go for? I too have gone for 2.0 TSI Edition model loaded with too many options to list! although i didn't go for ACC - as i don't trust computers driving the car for me. I haven't even test drove one either! I went for the 2.0 TSI because most of our runs are short one's and we do around 6,000 miles PA. Also my brother is a petrol head and kept banging on that i should go for the well proven and regarded 2.0 TSI engine that is used on many cars in the VAG group ( 2.0 petrol engine is the Audi developed EA888 Gen3B which has made use of the valve timing to further improve fuel efficiency). I hear good things about the 1.4 TSI, but I did have doubts on a turbo charged small engine in such a big car. There is no "replacement for displacement' is a phrase by brother uses. Now also with economy figures which is the real reason ppl go for the 1.4 TSI (plus of course the list price saving). There is always a huge difference between reported and the actual achievable figures in everyday driving. So if not driving it with a heavy right foot, the actual difference between the 2.0 TSI and 1.4 TSI 4WDs i don't think would not be that great. Even between the non 4WD version is only 5 mpg more.. which is £ and pence is nothing really. 1.4 2WD DSG Co2 is 143 Combined consumption 44.8 mpg 2.0 4WS DSG Co2 is 170 Combined consumption 39.8 mpg I also did ask the salesman, and while i do take it with a pinch of salt. He did comment that 2.0 TSI is the most refined engine in the range, but journo's are obessesed with diesels still. Hence why i read most of my reviews on this engine on the Australian reports. Hi. I've read mixed reports on this option. It isn't cheap, so for nearly an extra £1000 is there a discernable difference in ride quality on cars fitted with it? I'm really interested to hear some real world opinions on this, rather than journalist's. I've ordered a 2.0 TSI 4x4 and although it's no sports car. I'm concerned that it might have to be added to my order

My dealer has just given me a build week 22 for my Kodiaq 2.0 TSI edition... What are the changes for MY19 cars? Any chance of a fully digital dash like the Karoq?! I notice that is coming on the L&K model

Hmmm. this is not what my local deal (Mitchell Skoda) told me when i ordered mine.. 21st March ordered my 2.0 TSI 4X4 DSG Kodiaq Edition from Mitchell Skoda, Cheshire Oaks. Quartz Grey (aren't they all?!) - sirius alloys (deleted triglav due to them not being silver and not the diamond cut anthracite!) Added following options; beige leather interior, heated front and rear seats, panoramic roof, front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera, traffic sign recognition, virtual pedal, heated screen, heated steering wheel, LED interior pack, illuminated sun visor, folding tables, waste bin, rear seat backrest release. - i wanted to add the towbar and children's pack, but realised i had already got far to carried away with the options by that point. Dealer said build week 22, and should arrive with them mid June... if doesn't and the dealer don't register before 30th June, i will miss out on the £1,000 fuel card deal :(

my local dealer will only add the cost for black Triglav's on top of the price agreed for the car + fitting! :( they will kindly give me back the wheels so i can sell them on eBay to anyone that would want them! It's not the dealers fault... but the situation really really sucks. Saw this on YouTube Making me think the 1.4 TSI DSG is as quick accelerating as the 2.0 TDI 150 DSG.. very impressive... If I went for the 2.0 TSI I would be getting more performance. But drinking more fuel. It's not that I can't afford to go for the higher performing petrols or diesels. It's a balance of enjoying more poke Vs more cash in more wallet!

Love Skoda cars in general. But for the Kodiaq this really irritates.. all the press launches of car showed cars with sirius, triglav or crator alloys in anthracite or black. Yet it doesn't seem you can have them without getting you local dealer to do it as an after fit at ££££. I'm just about to order an Edition and thought that it would have these as standard over the same wheels on the SE-L. It doesn't appear to be the case. Can owners that have done this, give me their experiences of this? And how much it cost them?! I am sur this has been a source of frustration for many owners since launch!! Yet Skoda UK still hasn't appeared to address it.

I've pretty much decided on ordering a new 1.4 TSI DSG Edition (exactly like pictured below), but a family member is urging for me to go for 2.0 TSI DSG - having had experience of the engine in other vehicles. I only do about 6,000 miles per year and had problems with my DPF on my car. So not convinced on going diesel again this time. Anyone test driven the 2 petrols? is it really worth paying the additional premium for even with the mpg penalty? Also 4WD - i'm not 100% convinced i need it. But is it worth paying extra for? Does it improve the ride or handling over the FWD version? picking up on this thread... i'm very disappointed that Skoda UK still isn't offering anthracite wheel options as it does in other eu countries. Is it a brexit thing? how are people getting around this UK? buying after market wheels from EU? or are Skoda UK dealers helping out?

Sadly because i lease my vehicles, the depreciation applied to the Scout is the same as any other Octavia Estate. So they monthly rentals are astronomical compared to say a standard Elegance 4x4. That's a shame, because we all know the resale values on a 3 yr old Scout are at least 30-40% higher than the normal estate. I can't justify in my head the same monthly rental as BMW 520d SE auto estate for a Skoda Scout :(
