Hi all I’m getting a fault, losing pressure between turbo and intercooler. there’s a pipe that runs up the back of the engine with a metal collar moulded into the pipe, this connects a rubber pipe to a metal pipe by slotting inside the metal pipe which I think comes from the turbo. It has an O ring seal and a wire cir clip type locking device. I’m pretty sure this connection is where it’s leaking. Can anyone help with the part numbers for a replacement O ring and also possibly replacing the pipe for a new one. Has anyone done away with this pipe completely and replace it with a silicone one or something similar. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

Oh god no, my mistake. The car is on 107k not the plugs No idea how many miles the plugs have done. Would this make much of an issue? The car runs fine so I presumed they would be ok I’ll have to consider the cat then thanks for the heads up

I do oil and filter myself every year. could probably do with a new air filter I’ll replace it. I did spark plugs a few years ago.

It was 6.0%-7, extremely high. But only at tick over. The exhaust was blowing but I fixed that prior to the mot so it’s not that. I’ll have to get those sensors tested. It sounds like I’m going to have a nightmare solving this issue

Yes sorry petrol 1.8t vrs

Sorry I don’t have any specific figures as he did manage to get it to pass.

Hi can anyone help. Had my MOT recently with no issues apart from high emissions on tick over. The guy said it’s supposed to be 0.2 and it was up in the 6-7 range. On reving the car they did come down considerably but as soon as it went back to tick over it went straight back up to 6-7. Everything is standard apart from a map and stainless exhaust. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

Hi again, what's the condition buddy, and what do you want for it??
-
Not sure its worth the postage if its broken, does it have the 2 arms with it? How much are you wanting for it, I could possibly get a replacement for the centre part, all depends what you want for it

Depends on the condition, the condition of the badge, does it have the arms with it?

Replacement Bonnet Grill Source Needed
goa200d replied to FUBAR's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Sorry to jump in here, I need a complete grill for my MK1 VRS, does anyone know if standard ones are the same, just no VRS badge, I found a shop that stocks them but as soon as I said VRS he said he didn't know if they are the same, they probably just stock the standard -
Red but black would do, how much would you take for it?
-
Will standard grills fit a VRS as I think the part numbers are slightly different, like 1 extra number in the VRS part number
-
Is the grill still available

Wet drivers floor puddle on sill rubber?
goa200d replied to goa200d's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Are the door cards difficult to take off and put back on?? Thanks for the advice, you might be right, I,ve been meaning to take it off as I have an issue with the drivers door not locking off the key fob, and the mirror not working, I was told its a connector at the bottom of the window that gets water in, not sure what I,m looking for but I need to have a look, I,ve just been putting it off lol -
I know a few people have the same problem, I can see where mine is leaking in but I just don,t know what the problem is, membrane or door rubber. When I open my drivers door, the door rubber along the bottom sill is all wet with a small puddle, and I can see a water mark from the rubber puddle coming in and going down the plastic to the drivers floor. Can anyone tell me if its membrane or rubber without me removing the door card for nothing if its the door rubber. I can say I,m 98% sure the door card has never been off as I bought the car off a friend of mine and I,m pretty sure the card will never have been off, I,ve had the car for 6 years without this issue up to now Cheers guys

I have the same problem, I have been told by people on here its a common problem, there is a block connector at the bottom of the window, inside the door, its a design fault apparently, water runs down the window and straight into the block connector, basically you have to remove the door card and replace or cut out the block connector, its supposed to be a pig of a job thats why I,ve not done mine yet but its coming as now I have a pool in my drivers foot well grrrrrrrr Agreed, Bloody Red cars. Hope this helps
