  1. Hi!

johnjohn, it is true that you can activate rear light at the dealer. But I can also say, that you won't find any change in adaptation or coding. I did the same :-) :-) the change is made directly in EEPROM. You could do it by yourself, but you need special software for EEPROM changes :-) and the knowledge where to search appropriate byte.

Also left/right hand drive info is written in EEPROM.

  2. Ask yourself this Mike, do you really want your headlights being turned on unnecessarily during daylight hours?

as a matter of fact - YES I DO. I want to decide when to turn those functions ON. If in the older O2 there is a possibility to turn those ON, why the hell I can't do it on newer one.

I'll still want those codes, so if anyone would be so kind....

  3. Hello there!

I asked few persons about their coding, but maybe you'll share yours on this forum.

I've just had my DRLs, Cornering Lights and 2nd Rear Fog Light activated at the dealers on my MY10 Elegance.

Do you have any friend with the VCDS software?? Will you do the AUTO-SCAN on your car and share your report with me?? The AUTO-SCAN reads info about your components and their CODING. After this I'll try to put this coding in my O2 FL and check how it works and how to turn on the second rear fog light.

  4. Hello. I'll restart this post cause I got a little problem with CH/LH (coming home/leaving home) in Octavia 2 FL.

    Few questions:

    1. Can CH/LH be enbled WITHOUT the light sensor??

    2. Can anyone paste coding of module 9-central electrics from the SKODA OCTAVIA 2 FL(!) where the CH/LH is really working?? (car without light sensor). PLEASE.

The problem is, that I wanted to turn on those options (CH/LH) in few O2 FL. I found them in VCDS, and turned on. On MAXIDOT appeared new functions - "Coming Home" and "Leaving Home". Of course there was a possibility of changing time, but it didn't work! Closing and opening the car with the key buttons doesn't turn on the lights. More.... when I turned off those options in VCDS, the functions remained on MAXIDOT. I can't get in those to change the time or turn off, but they are still there. Is it normal??

I'll be gratefull for resolving my problem.

    Greetings,

    Mike

  5. Hello,

I'm new to BRISKODA, but I have my own OCTAVIA 2 since 10 months. I come from Poland [sJ] and I'm interested in VCDS software and coding options (mainly on SKODA's). I bought few months ago an original VCDS interface and after many days in my car (tested every single option possible) I feel very comfortable in using this software (now) emoticon-0100-smile.gif. No one of the cars I have diagnosed or connected to (over 50 cars coded), is damaged and all of them are still runnung emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

I'm still improving my skills emoticon-0103-cool.gif But really I do it for fun - I do other stuff for living :) I hope I'll find answers to my questions on this forum. I also hope to be usefull for you.

    Greetings,

    Mike
