  1. We found some winter wheels and tyres for sale on eBay, so took a road trip to the South coast and picked them up. Goodyears with plenty of thread left on them, they were a steal…
  2. Rear badges were changed to more ‘modern’ ones…
  3. Just a little project thread showing the SE my partner bought back in June 2018, Fabia vRS SE #532. Only a few subtle changes here and there since then. This was when she first picked it up and we decided to take both the Fabia’s for a drive:
  4. Also amazed to be able to fit x5 alloys, x3 with tyres, and a gearbox into the boot without putting the backseats down or removing the parcel shelf. I completely underestimated the size of the boot on these.
  5. Latest photo, taken down Cheddar Gorge on Sunday, showing aftermarket front fogs. Much prefer them over the originals. 😎
  6. So, to update this, i’ve had it lowered for about 12 months on Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks, i’ve fitted bonnet struts, front strut brace, wheel spacers front and rear, wind deflectors, colour coded badges, changed the chrome lettering and front grille surround for black and fitted the front Maxton splitter. I’ve got some new front fog lights on the way and keep toying with Eibach front and rear arbs and also a remap. I said this was staying standard when i bought it. 🤦🏻‍♂️😆
  7. Hi, Whilst this may be 4 years old, would you happen to still have the boot mat knocking around somewhere?? John
  8. Last ever photos, taken last year, before it went down the scrap yard:
  9. I know it would be, i was being sarcastic, that’s why i pit the winky face. 😉😊
  10. I hadn’t actually thought about that. Might be a struggle with my alloys. 😉😆
  11. I found the code 1KD on the boot sticker, so that matches and mine is the 150PS. Thanks very much for the breakdown and part numbers, very helpful. 👍🏻
  12. Hi, Does anyone know the size of the front and rear brake discs on a 2.0TD SE Tech, save me having to remove the wheels to measure them, please?? Many Thanks.
  13. Wind deflectors fitted but no pictures as yet. Also changed the front grille surround from the chrome to the black:
  14. Definitely, like the rest of your car builds, all good reads. 👍🏻 Though reading it hurts my bank account when i see all the things i’d like to do. 🤣 Cheers for getting back to me. 👍🏻
  15. Having just read your thread from start to finish, it was really good to see where you went with the car and made it your own. Shame to see it’s gone now though. Quick question though, is there any reason you wanted the red strut brace and didn’t fit the original blue one??
  16. So, after 15 years and 9+ months, many modifications and stickers and a lot of money, it’s time to say goodbye to the car. The longer i kept her, the more attached i got and the more pictures i took. It took me nearly a year to take my first picture of her but, towards the end, i was taking pictures of her everytime i went away and whenever we were in a scenic spot. She has been with me to Lands End and John O’Groats, done more than a handful of track days, been towed more times than i’d like to think about and she has been with me through every relationship i’ve had and outlasted them all, apart from my current Fiancée. 😂 The time was now right to move on and break her down after being her only owner and driving 182439 miles (minus the 11 delivery miles she had when i got her). Thank you to everyone that has contributed to my project and helped me throughout the years, i couldn’t have gone this far if it wasn’t for the Brisky spirit, and i did have many times in the past where i wanted to give up on her but having that help has seen me and her keep going. I’ve met many great people from here, a lot of which i consider friends now, and would have liked to go to many more meets but battling social anxiety has stopped me from doing that. i can’t wait to see what the future brings with the Octavia. 😊 Thank You for reading.
  17. Car went to Tech1e in September 2018 to get her MOT ready but it ended up being a very long list of things that needed doing. Whilst he had the car, the Brembos were refurbed by Bigg Redd and fitted. The LSD was fitted as well and it certainly made a very big difference. An Eibach front anti roll bar was also fitted in place of the standard one that had seen better days.
