  1. just had exactly the same problem haha, fuse 15 it was!
  2. a nice collection of cars youve had/got there. the black fabia in the last pic ( nose to nose with the yellow one) im sure ive seen that around sheffield, and who ever owns it drives like an absolute idiot from what ive seen!
  3. when i first got my VRS, had her insured for no more than 10 minutes, took her out, got hit by a stone that fell from the back of a tipper lorry, right in my drivers field of view. not happy!!. sorry to hear about your bad luck mate!
  4. to be honest, the spongey rubber stuff is the same on both! so probably just as bad haha
  5. yea thats probably what it is, it eventually comes off. ive not noticed the difference in the reception, these are standard aerials for some citroens, so they would fit them to cars if they got crap reception.
  6. My winters are going to be CMYK- so dont copy me lol
  7. i had the same sort of feeling, its almost as though the aerial unscrews then is still held in place, i just wiggled it for a while and it came free, the citroen aerial just screws streight in no problem.
  8. i had to do my window regulator last week, my plastic clip broke resulting in the window getting stuck in the door. if its just your regualtor that caused the problem, they are £42.50 inc VAT from europarts, its just as good as the OEM skoda carrier i replaced. my car is an 04 and my carrier was bolted on, so im guessing yours will be a bolt on job too which will make it a lot easier. the only problem is you have to drill the rivels out of the speaker pod to transfer the speaker over.
  9. i have one of these in, get exactly the same reception as the standard one but it looks ten times better. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Citroen-Peugeot-short-aerial_W0QQitemZ220571245774QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item335b121cce
  10. Thanks again for the nice comments, ive created a facebook group so i can update with times and locations thats im thinking of doing the photos, as well as prices for print outs etc. dunno if anyone would be interested in joining? (add me as a friend also!) http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/group.php?gid=105516949485963&ref=nf
  11. Got them finished this morning, definatley the best shoot ive done so far, shame about the rain making the cars look dirty
  12. you're all welcome guys, thaks for coming along, the weather will hopefully be better next time! just going through the shots now, they are looking really good, i should have them up by tomorrow night.
  13. Tonight is still on, even though its raining :( and my window regulator has gon on the passenger side so im not going in my car, im getting a lift! sods law indeed!! still hope some of you can make it!
  14. yea this is exacly right, having the camera mounted upside down allows the rig to be kept off the car so there isnt anything blocking the view of the car, just above it, in which case its a simple job to repalce in photoshop. just a couple of days let guys, mae sure the cars are nice and clean!!
  15. nice shots the ones infront of the big building hae got potetial, but turn the date of in your camera settings :p the pic with the C2 looks like you just pulled up next to it to take the picture, then went! like when your out in a nightclub and you grab a random stranger to take a photo with then never see them again lol
  16. heres my flickr account, if anyone wants to add me! http://www.flickr.com/photos/danny_takes_photos/

  18. went up to meadowhall today to test out the rig as i havent used it in a while, heres a few of shots i got-
  19. HI Guys, i had a post up a few weeks ago with some car rigshots/ photos i had taken of my previous cars, some people said they would be interested in having some done of their vehicles. ive decided to get some more done, im looking at Monday 29th March, between 6pm and 10pm. if anyone wants to come along, youre more than welcome too, either just to watch or even get some shots of your own cars, some of my mates are goin aswell with their cars (one is a sweet mk 1 fiesta!) i can rearrange the date if no one can make it, i just thought monday night would be rather quite for meadowhall carpark. The rig i use is home made, but it is very strong, will not damage the car in any way and i take extreme care when attaching it to any car but im NOT insured for things like this so any photos i take will be entirely at your own risk!! feel like an idiot saying that, but it has to be said! Also, your the one driving your cars not me, ill be taking the photos. if you dont want any rigshots, i can get some static shots so nothing has to be attached to your car. what i was thinking of doing is, once processed email each person the images of their car and offering to do prints and canvases of the images if you wanted, as i work at a photographers and could get stuff done at a discounted rate. please let me know if your interested so i can guage how many people are goin to be turning up! heres some shots of the sort of stuff ive done previously meadowhall carpark heres a quick map to which car park im hoping to do them in, its the underground carpark, not the one ontop, just keep left after you come off the roundabout, then as you go into the carpark, go past the ramp on the left that takes you up top, then turn left and head to the bottom of the carpark, ive found this is the emptiest part of the carpark. Thanks
  20. ok ive just tried charging it, charger says it s fine, its also starting up fine now, there is s till the problem with the windows winding down on their own, the courtesy lights staying on constantly, weather the car is locked or unlocked, doors open or closed, and the locks seem to be cosntantly trying to lock and unlock, but the door pins arent moving up and down, just gettting the sound of locking and unlocking. the only button working on my keyfobs is the boot release. think im just going to have to get it on VAGcom. anyone in the sheffield area got it and would be kind enough to help me out?
  21. Hi, ive had my fabia VRS since the 12th of Feb, but it has been sat on the drive until now, as i havnt had insurance for it. I think the battery may have gone flat from not being used, as i came to open the car this morning, the locks popped up but the windows wound down and the alarm went off. i couldnt over ride the alarm with the key, i had to put the key in the ignition to get it to stop. since then i cant lock the car with the button on the fob, i have to use the key in the lock itself, after doing that the windows wind down again and the courtesy door lights come on and stay on. It wouldnt start eirther, so i jumped started it and took it for a little drive and then sat with it running for 10 mins (i was running for about half an hour all together) and all seemed fine, come back to it just now and the locks are going crazy, going up and down up and down and the windows are winding themselves down again. does anyone know what could be causeing this? should i just replace the battery? cheers
  22. yea, think it was around 30 seconds so the waters movement in that time was captured as a complete blur. a small soft rubber ball wrapped in fleece to absorb any bumps. worked really well, used the same set up on lots of cars, works fine for em all as long as you can find a flat spot to attach the lifters too, bumpers, bonnet lines, etc obviously dont work as the lifter cant create suction to stick. thanks for all the nice comments to everyone who's been commenting!
