  1. Could be the fan on its way out, it’s behind the glove box. maybe worth pulling out the pollen filter accessed from underneath the glovebox to see how dirty it is as well.
  2. I had a similar fault on my 170 superb about 3-4 years ago. I replaced the actuator, it was a pain to get the old one off just because of its location. The kit is similar to this one http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=191828163664&category=63707&pm=1&ds=0&t=1537634357000&ver=0&cspheader=1 my engine is CBBB The symptoms - car went into limp mode when engine was being revved past about 3000, I was able to clear the fault and it happened again and following some research decided to change the actuator and problem solved. Good luck.
  3. I had something similar after a service, I assumed they had left the drivers window down and disconnected battery and reconnected which messed the cars Brain. My fix was to disconnect battery for about half hour and reconnect and it reset itself. It also resets other sensors so don’t be alarmed by dash lights as once you drive the car a short distance they start to disappear.
  4. Sounds similar to when my turbo actuator failed, mine went about 120,000miles. limp mode activated after hard or under load revs. actuator was £125 and a bit of a pain to fit DIY. It’s a great car, I bought mine with high miles over 4 years ago.

  6. Or contact this seller, they have a big selection. https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/skoda/superb-3t4/28257/10449/blower-parts
  7. Bought mine from eBay item number 161092047609 Carspares-direct theyre now £31
  8. Mine wasn't working when I bought my 2009 superb 4 years ago. i didn't get round to fixing it until about 2 years later. Mine was very dirty with corrosion and I just gave it a good clean up with some sand paper and ensured the connections were good and it's been working ever since. however I think I only did the right side which is similar to your pictures but there's a large copper coil inside a plastic cover and it was the connections to that part that was corroded.
  9. Hi has anyone fitted these NEW LED Daytime Running Light For Skoda Superb Fog DRL 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231744964843 Ive ordered a set. My superb is 2009 elegance which is fog light only. Im thinking about creating a separate switch for them. Ive done search and can't see anyone else having fitted them. Wanted to see what others have done? many thanks
  10. I did mine a couple of years back about 20 for the stops and 50 for new shocks. basic tool set is sufficient, just need some mole grips or similar to pinch the top of the shocks to remove the nut that holds the top mount.
  11. I did both fronts a few weeks back. like snapper1725 said, be careful with the bolts. One side came off very easily yet the other side 2 bolts chewed up and I had to get a second hand knuckle and spend the extra time removing that as well. I used a blow torch on the second hand knuckle to make it easier to remove the bearing which helped. Good luck.
  12. Pour some soapy water around the valve seal to check if its leaking; I had one that had a bad seal once.
  13. Disconnect battery for 15 mins should clear fault of there abouts. Did something similar myself and this worked.
  14. Mine was noisier when cold and it was during winter months I noticed my DMF was on its way out. So had it replaced last month; just over £700 Lion Garage Leicester VAG specialist. Mine is same engine as yours but DSG and had done 130,000 miles. Looking at the old DMF it could have lasted many more miles, but I don't like the risks. It has smoothed out the occasional jerkiness when putting in drive as well so needed doing.
  15. When I bought my 2009 elegance I spotted the fan wasn't working on the test drive and the dealer fitted a second hand Passat blower and it's still ok. Mine is ex company car and had done 110k and now I'm on 135k.
  16. 1) I just hold on handbrake until bite 2) press unlock twice and will open all doors. Depending on spec if you hold lock button it'll fold in wing mirrors. 3) not sure, my parcel shelf has always been noisy 4) depends what software you've got loaded on your satnav. There are lots of posts about the Columbus on here to help you. Good luck. I've owned mine for 3 years now 2009 elegance 170 DSG, had some maintenance jobs but still love it, great engine and fantastic spec for price.

  20. I had both disc guards corrode and rattle about, so used tin snips to cut them off. Never bothered fitting new ones. Easy to see if they're gone as they will wobble about.
  21. Also consider turbo actuator, I had the same fault and limp mode. It would happen under acceleration/load over 3000 revs. Part is about £150.
  22. Sounds like the dpf is going through a regen cycle Normally lasts about 30mins depending on driving style. Check my post about the V band, as mine was leaking. It's between the turbo and dpf.
  23. Thanks I hadn't found either links when searching, I'm going to try and test them.
