  1. Had my 2014 TDI VRS for 2 weeks and just starting to get around all the jobs I wanted to. Even though the garage did an oil and filter change, they clearly didn't check the filter. Cracked open the airbox yesterday and the box was full of leaves and grit etc, plus the snow guard and a mucky filter. Despite the full service history, I'll be getting a full service done again to MY standards! Hoovered out, snow guard removed and a fresh filter, feels a lot nicer driving now. As said, might be worth a few little caring touches, fresh filter, check the airbox, whip out the snow guard and some V power If you're local to Staffs, pop and have a look over mine for comparison 😎
  2. Haha, surely that wins a prize?! Hopefully a few more now I've got the Octavia!
  3. Evening all, Picked up my 2014 Octavia VRS last week and its running 235/40/R18's all round on the Gemini wheels. Not sure at what point or why the change was made. Having done some Googling and researching on here, it should be running 225/40/R18's? Is this going to cause me any untoward issues? Do I need to revert back? I need to replace two due to them having cracks, so obviously the garage has priced up 235's. Mind.......blown haha! Jimski

  5. Morning all, Well after lurking on here since 2010 as well as seatcupra.net, bouncing between Leon, Ibiza and Arona ownership I finally own the right badge to post! Some of you may have seen me around on forums or shows, my yellow MK4 Ibiza was at quite a few! Just picked up this 2014 Octavia VRS with the black pack, Canton audio etc Looking forward to some fettling, improving and getting the car up to my OCD standard! Got a bit of a damp boot at the moment, but I think this is the poor design issue rather than light seals or a split washer pipe! If you see me around Staffs/Cheshire, give me a wave! Jimski
