    On my 1212 estate there is a large bundle of cables that go through under the battery..
     
    I removed the battery, then the foam cover under the passenger footwell & pushed a hook through (about 4inch long) then simply pulled the bcable back.
     
    There is  a large fuse box next to the battery & there are spare 5/6mm stud that you can fit a ring terminal onto.
     
    Quite easy (once I got the battery off & found the loom.
