  1. Silly question time. How do I remove the loom bellows from the driver's side A pillar to inspect the wiring around the hinge area. Does it just pull off or is it levered off somehow? The reason I'm asking is that the window switch on the driver's side has stopped working. The LEDs in the switch are still illuminating when the lights are turned on, but I've heard it's a common problem - either the switch has failed or the wire supplying power to the switch has failed at the hinge. Help!
  2. I'm in the process of tidying up my elderly pre F/L MK2 Occy. The steering wheel has deteriorated somewhat - usual wear and tear and sun damage. I'm looking at a F/L wheel on ebay which looks to be in good condition. I know ithe wheel itself is a straight swap, but will a F/L airbag plug straight in or will I need to make any changes to the loom. Neither wheel has multi function, just the horn.
  3. I had something similar with my mk2 occy 1.9pd - turned out to be a gummed up fuel filter. Worth a check if you haven't already done so.
  4. As the title suggests, I need a new drivers seat for my mk2 occy. Finding one in decent nick is proving to be a bit of a p.i.t.a., so what are my options? Has anyone fitted something from a different marque?
  5. My '56 plate was bought in Feb 2010 on 32,000 miles for £9,000. I just spent £700 today on a new DMF + clutch, at 165,000 miles. Passenger side front coil spring was replaced 2 years ago for £120. £820 repair bills in 11 years! Shocking
  6. OEM air mass meter should only set you back about £70, and add on an hour's labour, so that's about £3930 per hour labour charges! Someone's 'avin a giraffe
