I also have the VRS iV and love it! No issues with mine apart from the buggy infotainment but hardly even notice any issues with that now after all the updates. I get about the same as others mpg wise, 75-85 but have had it on 300mpg before but that was after only ever using electric for a week or so without the engine used at all. Charges with a 3 pin uk plug from empty to full in 3-4 hours. Good news is the value has rocketed due to the current issues with new cars, its only 8 months old and I am already in positive equity! If I could get hold of a new car now I would trade it in for a full EV but can't get them anywhere. IMG_0323.HEIC

How strange because I have the sound actuator but it does not activate in normal or eco, only sport or individual.

I collected my Octavia VRS iV Last month (build week was 8/2/21) and I have the sound actuator so its strange that some are coming with/without it??? I THINK I did read that all iVs come with it though?

Hi everyone, Thought I would share some pics of the new car, collected it on Friday and washed it, detailed it and ceramic coated it yesterday. So far I am really happy and very impressed with it.

That looks awesome! What are your thoughts on the standard sound system up to now then? Is it bearable???????

Yes same for me, to and from work in electric only and the local shops etc and hybrid on longer journeys. I pick the car up on Friday so I will detail it fri/sat and get the ceramic coating on and then I will upload some pics on Sunday

Thank for the update Tomask, Thats a really good point about the service intervals and never even thought about that before, my commute to work is only 17 miles on a round trip so will also be mainly driving electric. I shall stick an update on here when mine arrives and let you know if I am having any of the same issues that you are. Cheers.

Afternoon, Bit random I know but are the wheel wells carpeted or not? Mine arrives next month and just mentally preparing to clean carpeted wheel wells

Well as a rule of thumb I generally never believe a word the dealers say to me

I Ordered the VRS iV Estate on the 24th of December, was originally told the build week was the last week of March however that got brought all the way forward to the 8th of February. Got an email this morning to say its built and already at the Port in Europe ready for shipping so things can change with delivery times/build weeks etc

Anyone know how long on average it takes from build week to dealer?

I have ordered the Octavia VRS iV estate and wondered how people were getting on with theirs? (any iV, not just the VRS) How are you finding the battery life and what sort of actual range in full electric are you getting? Any UK owners that can confirm if the car comes with the type 2 cable and the uk 3 pin plug or just the 3 pin plug?????? Cant get a straight answer from the dealer and don't want to buy a type 2 cable if it comes with one. Cheers everyone.

I ordered a VRS iV Estate on the 24/12/20 and was originally told built week commencing 29/3/21 however I got an email from the dealer today saying this had been brought forward to week commencing 8/2/21 so fingers crossed I get to collect it on the 1st of March.

I have done my last three cars, very simple and don't need a heat gun either. I use dental floss and then dab the left over residue with Auto Finesse tar remover, leave it for a minute to soak in and the left over glue literally wipes away. Get a pic on here when you have done it

Can I ask if the charge cables were provided? I have the VRS iV on order but the website doesn't say if the cables are provided ad the dealer didn't 100% know either. Cheers

Yeah its something that has never bothered me personally so I would never even think to turn it off.

Nope, on the Merc if you try and cross the line it pulls the car back over with a fight and it doesn't just vibrate the wheel like every other car I have had with lane assist which includes Octavia VRS and Superb Sportline. Sorry I did forget to mention that I had gone for the estate, for the Canton subwoofer I thought it filled one of the spaces on the left of the boot above the carpet rather than under it????? Im sure it was there on my old VRS/Superb? Anyone able to confirm????? Cheers.

Yep, but when there is no one to indicate to I don't need to use the indicators hence why its tried to kill a few cyclists

Im driving a 2020 Mercedes CLA at the moment and it has seriously tried to kill a number of cyclists with the lane assist, not joking when I try to go around then it literally throws the car back over to the nearside I also have to turn that off every time I get in the car so at least that is one thing I am already used to.
