  1. What sort of economy are people getting? I spend a lot of time doing long motorway journeys (200+ miles) - is early 40’s MPG achievable?
  2. Looking at a new Scala Monte Carlo, and says it has Adapative Cruise as standard, however I am assuming this is only the distance element and won’t have travel assist? Can this be upgraded by subscription or not? The car we are looking at is in stock.
  3. @minimumcharacters thanks for that - appreciate it. It’s so confusing isn’t it!
  4. I’m confused by the configurator - is Travel Assist standard or part of the Driver Assistance Plus pack? Neither the standard equipment (which just mentions ACC) or googling helps give a straight answer - thanks!
  5. Was more wanting to know if this is a widespread issue on the Superb? I love a pan roof, however experience of it on my last BMW was not good!
  6. As per the title - anyone have any issues with this?
  7. @Trickiejohn @Ccc1 thanks both - appreciate it
  8. Thanks for the response - it is in the UK I’m specifically looking at. Hopefully someone can tell me that’s in the UK for sure.
  9. Thanks @Ccc1 I can’t see anywhere on the online or brochure spec that mentions travel assist, only adaptive cruise control?
  10. Hi all - looking at a 2025 Sportline, and I’m trying to work out the level of driver assistance. My current BMW has what they call “Driving Assistant Professional”, by which you get the ACC bit, but it will also actively steer you in lane (semi autonomous basically), not just nudge you back if you drift onto the white line. Could someone please confirm that the Superb has the same level of assistance? Thanks!
  11. @nta16thank you - I’ll take a look tomorrow
  12. Hi all - my mothers 2010 (60) 1.2 TSI SE has an issue with the HVAC system (it’s the digital climate control), where the panel all lights up as normal, but the fans aren’t blowing at all - even turning them right up. Any ideas what this could be please? Assuming it can’t be a fuse if it’s lighting up ok? thanks in advance.
  13. Cheers @ApertureS, I’m going to see it tomorrow so I’ll get some snaps. Ive got some old Trance CD’s that have unique mixes on that you just can’t find on the likes of Spotify etc, so would be nice to have them in the car. I think the history documents all of the above being carried out, so that’s a good sign.
  14. Hi all - long time since I’ve been on this forum, but had 3 Skodas in the past! I’m thinking of buying a 2016 SE-L 190 TDi DSG with just over 100k on the clock, with full history as a second workhorse car, and had a couple of Q’s. 1) I know it has ACC, but does it also have Lane Assist? If not, then can this be coded? 2) Does it have a CD player? I can’t remember when Skoda (and everyone else!) stopped fitting them! 3) Anything I should be aware of common fault wise / things to look out for? Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers.
  15. @e-Roottootthanks for this. I’d assume she’s well out of time to put in a claim with Skoda now though?
  16. Hi all, My mum has a 2011 1.2 TSI DSG, which is still going strong after 60k miles, but the boot lid is starting to rust quite badly from where the number plate lights are housed. Anyone else had this problem / cost of fix and what was needed? I am considering just buying a tailgate from a car that’s been broken for parts - if anyone who has one or know someone who does (Cappuccino Beige), please give me a shout. Thanks in advance.
  17. I had a DTUK CRD3 on my L&K 150 TDI - it worked fine for a while but then was getting limp mode and various boost pressure sensor fault codes. If you want more power then definitely go for a remap. The whole “tuning boxes are warranty safe / undetectable” that all tuning box companies tend to state isn’t true either, it quite obvious that one has been fitted & dealers can easily find it out.
  18. yeah agree, was more from a product quality / longevity point of view vs. Other upgrades I meant.

  20. Best bulbs for dipped beam are PIAA Xtreme White Plus, but you’ll pay for the privilege at around £65-£70 for a pair. I ran them in a Fabia vRS a few years back and found them an enormous improvement on standard halogens - much brighter white light, and both were still working when I sold the car nearly 2 years after fitting.
