yes i undone the 3 fixings around the outside of the fan 2 at the top and 1 where the wiring goes down at the bottom disconnect the wiring the fan then can come up threw the top with a bit jiggling then you can swap the fans.

I just replaced the fan it was easier than replacing the whole cowling only took 20 minutes

I had the larger of the 2 fans die on my vrs i got replacement fans from a mk4 golf tdi fitted straight in.

Hi yes its standard atm just had it resprayed as the paint was looking a bit tired, got a milltek cat back exhaust being delivered from awesome, that will do for now skinted myself out.
