  1. Update…… now at day 78 without my enyaq, but getting used to the merc eqc replacement from enterprise. Not a peep from Skoda since my surprise visit to the dealership, where they tried to mug me off by telling me that my car was in the workshop being dealt with, unaware that I had walked around the premises and photographed it in a row of vehicles parked outside.
  2. I have an Enyaq 60, less than 1700 miles on the clock and delivered after 10 month wait. After 6 months, battery failure, car totally unusable and taken on transporter to dealer for diagnosis and repair. Still parked outside dealership service bay, unrepaired after 72 days with no date given for return. I made a surprise visit to personally find out the status of the repair, only to be told a contradictory story to what had been relayed to me sporadically for weeks over the telephone. Tbh, I’m disgusted with the whole affair and don’t think I’ll be purchasing another Skoda, even though my previous 5 models were completely trouble free. The main excuse that is constantly given to me is that “we don’t have the tools to complete the repair.” The job sheets shown to me by the service manager showed a total of 16 hours worked on my vehicle, equating to 1.6 hours a week (so far).
  3. Follow up to post on 8 June 2022:

    I took delivery of my Enyaq60 on 10 October 22, 10 months after placing the order. On 24 March this year, with less than 1900 miles on the clock, it refused to start, the infotainment system reporting a battery charge failure. Nothing I tried would make it start, including  testing and charging the 12v battery in case it was part of the problem, but to no avail. On 26 March a technician attended and after nearly an hour and a half of diagnostics, informed me that cell no. 5 was failing to charge, rendering the vehicle unable to start. It was transported to a dealership and at the time of writing is still there, 52 days after refusing to start, 49 days at the dealership. I have had 5 updates during that period. In the first instance it was transferred from my local dealership to another, as my dealership had neither the technical expertise or equipment to deal with it, the second was to tell me that they didn’t have the tools to undertake the repairs. From then on it was waiting for the tools, searching for the problem and then informing me that it was cell no. 9 that was faulty. I really don’t know what happened in the meantime, but I had a call late last Friday 12 May informing me that a replacement cell has been fitted, and following charging, testing and quality guidelines I should be getting a callback from them this week informing me that they will be returning my Enyaq.

    I would add that I haven’t been without a vehicle during this period as under warranty I have been provided with a rental car. Luckily, Enterprise had an ev in stock, so I’ve had a Mercedes EQC400 at my disposal.

    I’m now wondering if the 8 year battery guarantee will refresh from the date the vehicle is returned to me, or if it will only apply th the faulty cell?

    I should also state that Skoda UK dealership have told me that as far as they are aware, this is the first and only instance of a battery cell failure in an Enyaq, which is probably true as they did not have the tools to undertake the repair, and I imagine that this has been a learning curve that may well be useful in the future.

Tbh, I’m disgusted with the whole affair and don’t think I’ll be purchasing another Skoda, even though my previous 5 models were completely trouble free (apart from deiselgate of course, which wasn’t a problem as such, just a fraudulent sales pitch by the VW group and just about every other European mother manufacturer).

  4. I ordered my Enyaq iv60 on 11Dec 2021, with an estimated delivery date of 30 April 2022. No problem there then, i waited over 9 months for my first Yeti in 2009. I was told by the salesperson that my 2 year old Kodiaq Scout would get me a very good trade in price of £24,750.00, but when I showed him the text I had received from We Buy Any Car offering me £30,000.00 he exited for a 20 minute discussion with his manager, after which the trade in was revised to £29.000.00, which I accepted. On placing the order, I was asked me how often I would like an update, and I agreed that once a month would be adequate, but to inform me immediately a build number was issued. Since then 'radio silence', apart from my emails and phone calls which were fobbed off with various excuses, not once leading to a conversation with the original salesperson. So yesterday (Tuesday 7 June '22) I decided to call into the dealership in person. Greeted outside by a female salesperson who was not at all receptive, I was asked curtly what my business was (she had incorrectly assumed I required the service bay and had come in the wrong entrance). On explaining why I was there and whom I had called to see, I was informed that he wasn't at work, but she would make enquiries for me on his behalf. The outcome was that as yet there isn't a build order for my vehicle, but they had just received one for a similar Enyaq ordered in October '21. She commented that as Skoda have stopped taking any more orders for the iv60, there may be a possibility that they are working to clear those models first, but that's only her opinion. On leaving the dealership, I was offered a lame and rather hollow apology, which I grudgingly accepted with reservations. I had not felt welcomed, in fact it felt and seemed that I was just being a nuisance. I am not kicking off about the lead times, as they have been subject to so many variables from Covid, chip and wiring loom shortages through to factory shutdowns and the war in Ukraine, but on the very poor service that I have received from the Skoda dealership. This will be my 5th Skoda, and has been the worst experience of customer relations that I have experienced thus far.
  5. I have the 2.TSi, only around 11000 on the clock. Mostly town (London) mileage, average mpg (overall) 29.5. Would have been less but for 3 round trips to North Cornwall, total of 1600 miles.
  6. Got call from dealer informing that my Edition is on the continent at BW38, awaiting delivery to a U.K. Port. It's 16 weeks since order placed. Somehow, with the long wait and recent news concerning the continuing hounding of motorists who haven't joined the 'clean' brigade, the magic seems to have faded somewhat............I hope it lifts me when I collect......

I forwarded it to the dealer yesterday with a further request for information, and was sent the following reply: <<Hi Barry, My apologies in the delay in coming back to you it has been incredibly busy! Your car is scheduled for build week 29 meaning it will be arriving in August. T6he car is at Status 10. >> This is for an order placed on 9 April, with an estimate of 12-14 weeks wait. So at a probable 16 + weeks, it already has shades of extended delivery time, as happened with my first Yeti. That began with a promised 3 month, and ended after a 9 month wait. I was kept updated regularly by that dealer, with the excuses ranging from a heavier than expected order book to problems with the panoramic roof supplier, allegedly being unable to cope with the demand. At 74, my clock is running down............hope I get it early enough to enjoy......!! Hey, ho, my second L&K Yeti, at 3 yrs old, is still an excellent bus, and but for the introduction of the Kodiaq I'd probably be waiting for the next generation Yeti. as an afterthought, maybe the wait would have been shorter if I'd opted for the 2.0 Diesel, rather than the 1.8 petrol?
  8. I'm still waiting for the dealer to forward the Build Week, promised 2 weeks ago (last time I phoned in for it I was given the stock answer "the system is down"), does anyone know if I can get it from another source - I have an order number, that's all.
  9. Sorry for the delay in responding. poss I will keep, but unsure atm because of the way things are going with the deisel/petrol/electric. Went back to the dealership this morning to clarify the order as there were several items that came across as 'included' in the catalogue available, but are in fact 'extras'. The dealers have limited info it seems, and only had their first demonstrator delivered on the day I had the test drive. I found more info online using the configuration than at the dealership.

I ordered last Thursday. 2.0 TSI 180 Edition 7 Seat DSG 4x4, Moon White, Panoramic Sunroof and 19" Sirius Alloys. £10.500 Offered part-ex for my 63 Plate L&K manual Yeti (32,000 miles), then £302.41 per month PCP. I was told it would be a 3-4month lead-in to delivery (beats the 9 months gestation period for my first 61 Plate Yeti!) I had a test Drive of around 5 miles on Thursday, felt pretty good, although would have preferred to have it for a day or two!
  11. I think a large percentage of these second-hand Yeti's are demonstrators. Perhaps whilst determining the popularity of the Yeti you should be looking at the new car end of the market, ie the long waiting list for the SM - usually a good indicator for most popular products. Take it from me, book a test drive and you will be, at the very least, pleasantly surprised.

  13. I will ask you Freedie - two at the same time?! I did use my old Navman for a week or two after getting he Yeti a) to use whilst aquainting myself with the Columbus & to check the mph against the car speedo readings. Unfortunately I gave it away thinking It would be of no further use (how wrong can you be) I would be interested to know why you use the two-please dont tell me one is for the wife/girlfriend/partner?
  14. Lee & All, Thanks for the info, that particular syndrome dosn't seem to apply. the Columbus was factory fitted, car supplied new from Preston Motors-I took delivery on 15 Dec last year. Preston Motors was the nearest (friendly) dealer when I first went looking at the Yeti (the only dealer in greater London that replied to my request for a test drive). However, Citygate, a VW dealer in Colindale, recently opened a Skoda dealership not a half mile from my home, so I booked in with them for the Yeti's first service. It is since then that the Global Positioning has run amock. It started by indicating my position to be in the Potters bar area (Hertfordshire) when I was actually leaving work in Deptford S E London). By the time I arrived home, a journey of 17 miles, the satnav corrected itself & was there or thereabouts on track. This situation lasted for a month or so,then would not correct itself at all. As previosley stated,for nearly a week now my position is shown somewhere S E of Munchen in Germany, even though my journey to & from work remains the same. I am somewhat annoyed that an extra costing something short of £1500 has malfunctioned after less than a year! Apart from that, no compaints about the Yeti at all, it's all I hoped it would be & more. Is there an answer to this problem, or I am going to have to return to a dealer?
