  1. Hi - I've got the same issue on a 6 month old Karoq that I've just bought. Did you find a solution yet?? Thanks, Andy
  2. That is good to know. The sound is so annoying as doesn't sound anything like a real engine. Which version of the OBDeleven will work? Seems to be various hardware versions on their website, and there's also a "free" iphone app. I only want to change this one setting .
  3. Thanks Rob - I cut those tabs off and got them fitted ok - looks good now, and protecting from chips.
  4. Here's mine - 190PS 4x4 TSI. Have added wheel arch protectors, mudflaps, a boot sill protector. I want to replace the badges with black ones, but haven't got round to it yet...
  5. Hi Rob, I got my wheel arch trims and and ready to fit them, but need a bit of advice on a couple of things... 1 - The long ones for the front have a square (ish) section with 4 clips on it. I'm assuming it it intended to replace the section just behind the mudflap (have circled on your picture). Did you just cut that bit off the trim? Or should I remove that painted section and replace with the whole trim including that bit? 2 - Some of the trim has protruding moulding (see second picture) - do I just cut those off? The parts seem to be completely correct fit, but with those tabs on them, clearly can't be stuck to the car. Thanks!!! 🙂
  6. Hi - I've just fitted mudflaps to my Sportline - these are what I ordered - took about 5 days to arrive. Complete pain to fit the little push in clips - they have a middle bit that you push in and it opens up the outer fixing to hold it in place. Finally got them installed though and they look good. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/57a075111-mud-flaps-front-skoda-31784.html https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/57a075101-rear-mudguard-flaps-skoda-31786.html
  7. Hi - your Sportline is looking great. I got mine in white last week, and am putting together a shopping list. Question re the wheel arch trim - I'm a bit confused, are the bought individually (3 at front, 2 at back on each side?) or do they come as a set with all? And do you need to buy any fittings? I can see mention of screws and studs on the front items, but not on the rear?? Many thanks
  8. Mine is the 190 Sportline and it is really annoying. It's not just in "Sport" mode, but "Normal" and "Comfort" as well (getting quieter in each). I found reference in the manual to the fuse, but can't just remove it, as same fuse used for various other electrics. So it's back to putting the mode into Individual mode each time, where I've saved the settings with the engine sound turned off. Be good if they could release an upgrade that enables all the modes to be customisable.
  9. I've just got a Sportline 190PS 4x4 and suspect it has one of those sound generators. Has anyone found out how to turn it off?? Can a fuse be removed or is it more complicated than that? Thanks.
  10. Is there a 2048 file limit to the amount of MP3 files on an SDCard that can be read by the Bolero? And if there is, is there a way around the limit? I've got a 2 week old Octavia, and have filled a 16Gb SDCard with MP3s. No matter what folder structure I use, the Bolero only displays the folders that contain the first 2048 files. The last folder displays half an album (i.e. up to the 2048th total file), and no folders are displayed after that one. 2048 is 8 x 256 so sounds like a data type limit. Thanks, Andy
  11. Delivery dates are very long for the Octavia, and across many other cars in the VAG group (have confirmed with a friend that works in the car dealer industry). I ordered my Octavia Estate 4x4 at the end of March, and took delivery last week. The wait was frustrating, but am really happy with my first Skoda. I've got a Mark IV Golf GTI that I've passed onto my wife, and the Octy 4x4 feels virtually as quick but much more roomy and comfy. The 4x4 works as well - tested it by driving up a steep pebbled driveway (my Golf would just wheelspin cause the weight was not on the drive wheels). The £300ish compensation (for cars delayed beyond 16 weeks from order to delivery) is now being handled by dealers rather than Skoda UK, and they give you options as to how you want to take it, e.g. M&S vouchers (£300), dealer-fit accessories, vouchers towards servicing costs. I've gone for one dealer fit accessory (metal door sill covers) and my first service free. Andy
  12. Am going to phone him back today and find out. I should have asked yesterday...
  13. Hmmm - been told week 40 build date now for my 4x4 estate (ordered 31st March), due to changes "I'd made" to the order. On questioning, dealer said they were changes they'd had to make, and not ones I'd requested. Confused....
  14. NIck - nothing wierd about the engine choice either... It's just the 2.0 litre 140 bhp diesel... The only thing different to majority of cars is the 4x4, but then that's also in the Scouts which seem to be being delivered on time.
  15. My first post, after reading the forums for some time and watching the news of build dates... Anyway, I'm a little frustrated and wondering if anyone can shed any light. I ordered an Octavia Estate 4x4 with minimal extras (metallic paint & spare wheel) from a main dealer back in March. I've been told repeatedly that delivery should be June, or July at the latest (12-16 weeks). In fact, the date they had was 22nd June. It all went quiet so I put a call out to the dealer earlier this week, and got called today to say there's going to be a big delay, and I shouldnt now expect delivery until September at the earliest! This seems an utterly ridiculous delay, and I'm so close to just binning the order; although if I bought a different marque, I'd be looking at commencing a 12 week wait from now until build, so perhaps pointless. I got told the delay is because Skoda factory has stopped building the 2010 Octavia model (the model I actually ordered) and are now only building 2011 models (I think not much difference except for the move to Common Rail engine). They will honour the price quoted as per original order, but it means that all cars are now significantly delayed. This is really confusing me, as I've read elsewhere on the forum that some people ordered Scouts in April and are getting them this week, or week after. So why is the 4x4 so delayed? I'm not sure what to do. Am I being fobbed off with excuses? Is this actually true? Are they in breach of any contract to supply my car within X weeks or to supply the 2010 model? Should I just not give them my custom and buy something else? I've been considering a Passat Estate, but they don't seem to have 4x4 which I need... Any advice would be welcomed!
