Hello! I've posted a few times throughout the site, but thought I'd introduce myself and my 17 sportline on the 280 thread! I've had the car for a couple of months now and love it. It's got a great spec with almost every option ticked as far as I can tell! Only down side is some poor refurbishment of the wheels by the dealerership prior to me buying it.... Trying to get a resolution to this at present!

Hello! It's been a while since I've had a car that I've really wanted to look after, but now I've got my superb I'm trying to keep on top of it. I've had my car polished and ceramic coated with CQuk3.0 which has done a great job of getting rid of the swirls etc. So I'm hoping to get some advice from you knowledgable lot! The detailer has recommended using Turtle Wax Dry & Shine to maintain the coating....does this seem right? Could I use some thing like Autoglym rapid ceramic? Or one of the other more premium turtle wax sprays for a better, deeper finish? Or am I better off getting the Cquk reload spray? Appologies for all the questions! But I'm basically confused by the massive array of waxes, sprays, graphine sprays, coloured wax sprays etc.... And want to get the best one! Thanks very much

I've got my car booked in to have the glove box replaced under warranty from my local evans halshaw (bought the car from a different EH dealership) took abit of persuading as they tried fixing it themselves but eventually agreed to replace it. Like you say its not acceptable to have to slam it or go round the passenger side to shut it. Once they accept that then they should agree to fix it! Good luck!

I've taken to just leaving it open when there's just me in the car 😂 But luckily I got in touch with the dealerership and they've agreed to sort it out 👍

Thanks, yeah it's a great car. Really pleased. Got 3 years warranty on mech and electrics too so happy motoring ahead 👍 Only annoying thing so far is the glove box flopping open...dont want to have to pay for a new unit so going to search the forum later in hope if a simple fix.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, and your reply! I've been out in it this evening and like you say, it is the power steering disabling, as it did restart when I turned the wheel. Although this took considerably more turning that on the work kodiaq. I'll check the tyre pressures to be on the safe side. Possibly just heavier steering in the superb. I've tried searching for a solution to this but can't find anything. So apologies if I'm just not very good at using the search function! When my auto start/stop cuts in, for example at traffic lights, the steering locks too, as if the power steering is turned off at the same time. I drive a new kodiaq for work and this doesn't happen in this. In fact when the engine is off and I even slightly turn the steering wheel, the engine starts up again. Anyone know if this is just a 'quirk' of the superb/older start stop system? I'm in a superb 2017 sportline if that makes any difference.... Any ideas to solve the problem appreciated! Thanks 👍

I like the wireless charging, although think I'll be using the car play anyway so it'll just get plugged in! Last car was a civic diesel, so notices a massive improvement with this!

New car day for me! I've spent an hour or so negotiating the menus; setting up my keys etc. And I'm very impressed. It's the 2nd skoda I've owned (1st being a 2007 fabia vrs SE) and I'm very glad to have a skoda back on the drive. The car needs a good clean and some attention to the paintwork plus some new centre caps etc. But over all I'm very pleased. Seems to have a great spec including wireless. Charger, heated screen etc. Will no doubt have some questions in the near future, so stand by! Cheers 👍

Have you bought these from aliexpress? They look almost identical to the diamond car mats... But at 10% of the cost.. Surely its too good to be true!?
