  1. Spotify is great on android auto...as are all of the music/podcast apps on there... You can also use ok Google to control Spotify via voice control on the android auto app I haven't used the standard interface for media or navigation since I installed it.
  2. It is,here's them in my other werewolf carrier,my Peugeot van!
  3. For safety and keeping your car interior in a clean state, then you can't beat and estate with a good quality dog cage installed. The lower load lip of the Estate will be very welcome once your lab reaches full size (and weight) The best cages out there include transk9 and safedog (crash protected) I have the safedog xl...pic of it fitted to my Saab 93 sportwagon attached. It's fitted with a divider which can be removed to allow a single dog more room or in place for two dogs.
  4. We have a fleet of superb and one of them has the same problem...trouble is,the driver doesn't care and hasn't had it fixed... Definitely a fault, the other 6 have seats that work properly.
  5. Using android auto is the best option all round I've found...no messing about and do much simpler to use
  6. Easiest thing to do by far...I use it in my superb work vehicle and it's pretty faultless...plus the Google maps sat nav is superior to the Skoda set up. Your Google pixel is obviously made for android auto...you will love it and won't go back. Only caveat is to get the best quality cable you can find.
  7. Each to their own,I think it's quite handsome
  8. Wouldn't one of these be suitable for your needs if Skoda aren't playing ball? Petrol,4wd,nice size etc?
  9. Sorry,yes,220 not 230. I much prefer the looks of the sportline over the l&k which is why I'm looking at the vrs 245 too. Anyone driven a superb with that engine?.....I'm hoping that the weight of the superb won't bog it down too much?
  10. Im in the verge of ordering a Octavia vrs 245 but my head has been turned by the superb sportline estate with the 230 bhp TSI engine(with dsg) Despite searching through the threads however,I can find very little information on here, esp from owners. Does anyone own one on here and what are your thoughts? I drive a standard superb 2.0tdi 190 4x4 at work which is a pretty good car but the suspension is way too floaty for me and the combination of the 4x4 and diesel engine strangles the performance for me,hence my looking at the fwd TSI instead.
  11. I really like that idea...I have a trans k9 cage on order(currently have a safe dog cage)......did you just wrap it in polythene? And is that the transk9 mat you can order separately?
  12. Anyone used the vbf with a dog cage? The reason I need the vbf is to present a flat floor to mount the double cage on....if it's not level with the loading edge, the cage doors can't open you see.
  13. I never use the inbuilt sat nav on my company superb....Google maps on android auto is far,far better. I've installed Waze on there too now and you get speed earnings and cameras info but to be honest, apart from that,I prefer Google maps.
  14. No issues through android auto on my superb.....possibly a cable problem on your set up?
  15. I've found it to be a pain in the arse on my company superb 190 4x4......often giving spurious alarms and false indications. I check my tyre pressures and condition at least weekly and I'd happily forgo TPS to be honest.
  16. Anyone ordered without the adaptive dampers? Really interested to know how the standard suspension is as I'm still poring over the options list...is it an essential or is the ride already pretty good/good enough,? I'll be ordering red by the way....i dont do subtle! #wierdo
  17. A good dog crate is the best thing you can buy for your estate and dog! We bought a safe dog crate which had built in crash protection for the mutts...your car stays cleaner too as the dust and fur collects on there instead of your upholstery.
  18. Lol,I've still got one.....and it's still a very good looking car. Haven't said that, looking forwards to my new vrs245....the front end has grown on me
  19. Definetly get them......they are great when you are on a charge and when you can't be arsed, auto mode allows you to chill out and relax... Much as I enjoy a manual box,I think they are in the past now and very few cars in the future will feature it..a bit like manual chokes and opening car doors with keys.
  20. Run flats saved my life on one occasion...I was on a high speed run and had a major puncture occur(the readout on the dash told me,I couldn't feel anything)....when I was able to stop I couldn't believe the damage to the tyre, but the car had been controllable still. Journos who moan about the harsher ride on a run flat have obviously never had a major incident with them fitted or they would stop talking out of there arses.
  21. Are these quiet? I've got some square type Thule bars on at he moment and they whistle like mad. If he lidl ones are a aero type I'm off to buy a pair.
  22. Good luck with the focus I drive a company focus and have done for the last 6 years,my latest being a 11plate tdci. Watch out for rust around the tailgate hinges as this has occurred on every model I've had.The paint seems to have patches of poor quailty around the hinge areas. Also the fuel consumption is generally quite poor on the tdci,my average over 30k is just 40 mpg, which is poor for a 1.6. The cars in general are fairly reliable however and handle and ride well so I'm sure you will enjoy it.
