Just bought a 2011 VRS and am baffled by this also, I’m guessing the bulbs in the side lights at for continuity sake then?

Hi all, I’ve been away from briskoda for a few years now but I’ve seen the light and I’m back. I have a question…… is the 2011 Octi vrs DSG a belt or chain driven????

Oh Skoda didnt sort that one out then! I had the same on my mk1.

Hi guys I have been a mk1 octy vrs owner for nearly 5 years now and am looking to sell it, i want to go mk2 petrol vrs, are there any points i should really check out before i put any money on the table? Im should be looking at a black 06 tomorrow with full service and cam belt change, do they suffer with electics like the mk1 or is that something Skoda sorted out? Any hints tips and advice would be hugely appriciated, thanks in advance.

Little update Everything now works! Just not when i want it to, was driving home from work and all the windows decided to have a dance up and down when they wanted to but that wasnt enough! The interior light decided to have a fit and started flashing on and off and the locking pins decided they wanted some of the action too pinging up and down! I think i got a disco ghost lol

So i have been suffering with dodgy central locking for a while now, front passanger door is perminently locked shut, drivers side rear door only opens from the inside, courtecy light doesnt work from the drivers door and the the light in the drivers door panel doesnt work! And now none of the bloody windows work either as of today. Any ideas guys?????????

Lolololol had all that and lets not forget the lumpy running ie vac hoses spliting and suspension springs going twang lol, actually im looking at geting mine booked in to have the central locking sorted but im not gonna tell him that bit

Although now i come to think of it i do spend alot of time with the bonnet up, im surprised he even considered one at all lol

So my next door flippin neighbour has only gone and bought a octy vrs exactly the same as mine! Well i say exactly the same, its nicer really grrrrrr

Another question, will spacers be required for this set up?

Guys I have the most annoying ticking noise under the bonnet! Please see attached pic..... What is that? Why is it ticking and what can i do about it?
