is there much of a difference performacewise in the oem clutch and the performance ones? or is it just reliability?
-
Hi, looks like my clutch is on its way out after 57,000
Ive been quoted £430 all in by my local rainworth skoda,
and my local vagspecialist said £1100 if the flywhell need replacing too?
Is it normal for the flywheel to be stuffed? and are these normal prices???
im unsure about going for a uprated clutch as i will be changing the car in about 20,000 miles
any input would be appreciated

mines done that too, only once. fingers crossed

one word. twin turbo. if only .......
-
if your gonna throw it around corners, you WILL notice a difference.
If your not, dont bother. Same for the ARB really, if you like taking corners at speed, get both its amazing the difference they make when giving it some.

no website, but the phone number is googlable , and they are really good to talk to and advise etc etc

£800 smackers dropped off 8:30 in york, picked up at 1pm.
I wanted something a bit different to add a bit of colour to the whole black theme,
thats why i went for the quilt stitch and the door cards finish it off nice.
They are just as firm as the previous seats in my opinion, i love the smell everytime i get in the car too Mmmmm
-
make sure you get the pics up then, weh n they're done!

I thought i was the only one who does the weekly vrs search!!
search 1 : fabia skoda (looking for random parts)
search 2 : fabia vrs (looking for specific parts)
search 3 : lamborghini (dreaming)

After having a good look at Chrispy's thread with seat pics, (and asking a few questions - cheers Chrispy) I decided to give it ago.
3 Weeks after calling seat surgeons (this friday) i went to have the seats fitted
all i can say is WOW, I love them. I went for all black, with lamborghini quilt stitch centres. I couldnt be happier!

i thought the same thing dude.

one thing i must add, especially going from a focus, hold back £200 for an anti roll bar, worth its weight in gold, ask anyone with one on here!!!
-
cheers very much for the help.

Everyone knows yellow cars are faster anyway, thats why lambo's are yellow.
Adds bhp n everythin

Of all the upgrades mentioned the most fun is the anti roll bar, it makes the car corner happy.
But of course, you need the remap to smoke him on the straights too, and if its a custom remap and not a plug and play, make sure you get the filter/ pd160 intake done first!!!!
-
did you specify you wanted door cards or are they part of the "package" ?
-
Hi, i dont know where you live, but my dealer (rainworth skoda) did my remap which is a REVO , it was all done for
-
Picked mine up from roadrunner motorsport today, had it fitted (took about 1 1/2 hours =

I took mine to the dealer when this happened, it was happening mainly on reversing.
they did it under warranty about a month-ish ago, and mine runs out of warranty in a month or two.
big up to rainworth skoda.
Who's had a breather pipe mod fitted and it worked? (vrs oil consumption fix)
in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Posted
Hi,
Ive had a Mk2 Vrs for about 4 months, its an 11 plate, and had 17k on it when i got it.
it was using (after a oil consumption test by my local skoda garage) 1.5 litres of oil in 800km.....
Today its had the oil breather and ecu upgrade, and they told me 'this fixes the issues in 9/10 cases'
I just wondered if they are BS'ing me, as ive checked the other posts on here , and havent seen a 'woop the engines using minimal oil after the breather pipe was fitted'
So, if anyone has and it worked, let me know !
Cheers
