  1. ......and how much were they - if you don't mind me asking ??
  2. so seeing as the group buy has been and gone (and may well not be repeated :() Where is the best place to get a set of FSD's for my Fabia VRS ???
  3. ............any more news on the stuur...stuur...stuur....stutter yet ??????
  4. I took my 500 mile old 06 VRS into my local dealer and mentioned that I was a little unhappy with the stutter at between 1500 - 1900 rpm (most noticeable in 4th gear at almost bang on 40 mph with a very slight throttle opening) and they initially said that they had heard nothing like this before (.........standard policy to not admit anything up front !!!) They then looked on what they called "Skoda Desktop" which was like a bulletin board for all dealers and sure enough they was a note saying about the stutter issue on 06 Fabia VRS's and that the proceedure was to download a copy of the map from the diagnostics port and fax it across to Skoda UK Tech Centre. That was duely completed this morning whilst I waited and drank a cup of coffee and they will be in contact with me again when they get an answer back from the report. Can't really get better customer service than that  My advice to all 06 Fabia VRS owners is to take your car to a dealer and ask them about the bulletin and insist that they do the download - the more reports they get, the more chance we all get of getting a solution to our stttttuuuuuutttttteeerrrr  Oh........by the way, the dealer was Saville's of Kidderminster - thanks guys
  5. Just picked up my new Fabia VRS - ordered on 20th Feb and quoted 10 weeks and sure enough 10 long weeks have gone by and I am now the owner of a nice shiny new Fabia VRS. Many thanks to Anthony at Simpsons of Colne - matched the best price found on the net, kept me informed all the way through and made sure everything went to plan. Went up yesterday to collect the car and it was ready and waiting for me - he even filled it up with fuel to make sure I made the 200 mile journey south without needing to get out of my nice heated seats :D Anybody wanting excellent price and fab customer service - give Anthony a ring on 01282 864266 Thanks Mate
  6. Hi there, Just picked up my new 06 VRS on Monday and having covered about 250 miles, the stutter has begun:thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: Same conditions as all you other guys and gals, 1500-1900rpm, light throttle and "Stutter..stutter" I managed to count 14 occurances on my 19 mile journey home and it is already becoming slightly annoying - especially as I am trying to run the thing in :( :( Checked all the codes and again the same with the "BLT" code and also the actual numbers from the ECU:- 038 906 019 NJ 7331 0 281 011 823 What do we have to do to get any answers from Skoda ????

  9. I will soon be taking delivery of a nice shiney new Fabia VRS and am already looking down the remap route (Jabba or AMD oneclick) Question is when is the best time to do this - when she is fresh out of the box with a tight new engine ...OR.... Is it better to put a few thousand on the clock to bed the car in before going down the engine upgrade route. Many of you guys have already pondered this question I am sure - what were your answers and results ?????????? Cheers guys
  10. Hi there chaps and chapesses......... Have already ordered my VRS and it was supposed to be being delivered today - but alas there has been a delay in Polzen.
