  8. I went to my local seat dealer today and got a quote for trading in my 75ps elegance 3dr...... "I have spoken to our dealer manager and we can offer you £500 towards your trade in.......so you will only owe £2k " well my face fell to the floor! I am 2 years into a 3 year pcp and done 27k they (and glass guide) reckoned my car was only worth 5k! at what point "should" a Citigo on pcp equal out? Either the depreciation must stop after 2 years or the final settlement is far to high!

What sort of trade in have others had?

My car does have a lot of options but didn't think it made that much difference?

Just sold my Citigo Elegance (on a 63 plate) with 45500 miles and every possible option ticked on it for £5050 to a dealer as a trade-in.

  9. Next base 101 fitted by Halfords.

They hid the wiring beautifully in the headlining, used a separate power cable to the cigarette lighter one supplied (so I can transport the camera to other cars still) and it powers on and off with the ignition.

I have the camera located right up at the very top of the screen, just to the right of the rear view mirror - using a smooth adhesive circular pad so it can achieve suction over the nobly sunshade bobbles on the glass in that area.

Nextbase is a really great system - small, clear and easy to use.

It's useful when someone is driving like a **** and you simply point to the camera...

  10. Coming up on 45,000 miles on my original set of Conti's. I have about 3mm left all round - I swapped fronts and rears at about 7 - 8mm.

80% of my driving is on dual carriageways and motorways mind you...

  11. What is interesting? I'm curious!

At about 1min 15 sec there is a powerpoint slide showing a bunch of features on the car - one of which looks like it says it'll have a 50 litre fuel tank...

  12. Update: I received an email this morning from Auto Express, and was asked if I would be prepared to photographed with the car for an article in the magazine.

    I have said yes.

This might be your solution.  I had problems with a Mercedes a few years back - Whatcar took up my case and put an article in the magazine.  Within 24 hours of Whatcar contacting Mercedes saying they were going to publish an article, they offered me a brand new replacement car.  Media power works (sometimes!).

  13. I have a Nextbase, hardwired by Halfords - very professional install, powers on and off with ignition and the wires are completely unseen. They use an additional cable to hardwire leaving the cigarette lighter cable free in case you want to temporarily transfer camera to another car.

  14. No my feet we not wet - like I say I did look under the car as I had the same thought myself!

It can't have sent the fuel back into the petrol station tanks as I had the filler nozzle at the very edge of my fuel filler tube (i.e not rammed all the way in as per normal fuelling) and was able to physically watch the fuel go in. Nothing was coming back out - it was all one way traffic!
