  1. Hi, I have had my Kamiq SEL DSG for 15 months, love the car but a couple of rattles and squeaks drove me mad for a while till I managed to fix them. 1st one under the steering column and was fixed by using a bit of padding between steering column and the heater pipe and making the plastic heater pipe more rigid with a cable tie. The other noise, rattle/clunk over uneven surfaces on the lower near side took me 10 months to trace but eventually I found that if you get down and look just above the bonnet release handle there is a 3 inch or so rectangular box in a holder that kept jiggling about. I jammed an extra piece of sponge in holder and then used some Duck tape to stop movement and instant success!! Hope this helps anyone, and 5 months later all still quiet. One other bad place for causing weird noises is if you put anything in overhead cubby, I never use this now.
  2. Great Stuff, I did buy the Halfords ones but it will be nice to check out the positioning with the vaguish instructions that came with them.
  3. Anyone been abroad lately in furby (TDi 100) and know how to position masking to convert lights for driving on the right. Skoda dealers were useless, just said go to Halfords for kit (ok with that) but nothing in the manual or from them about exactly where to position masking on clear lenses. Is it guess work? or visit MOT place with beam adjuster. Any help would be appreciated, its shown in my wifes SEAT Leon handbook so why not Skoda's.
  4. ok so thats £125 +25 still £75 to much and as its a known prob ask for wheel Alingment to be done for free.
  5. My car has its MOT in a few weeks so will let you know how it gets on, if the ARB only costs £ 50 ish with bushes and they manage to fit it in around 1 hour or so surely £125 is what it should cost.
  6. Similar with my wifes Leon, bought with recent Cambelt change at 55000 and at 61000 and dropping of kerb very slowly went bang and same bolts broke/came loose. Also damaged undershield as you stated.
  7. Ok Will Mark It And Keep An Eye On It Short Term, then Decide What To Do If I Notice Any Movement.
  8. Sorry not back sooner but busy, yes the offside collar was broken but nearside ok, garage seem to have fitted new bushes as I can't see any collars. However as said before car is ok, I have covered 600miles already since last week and it brakes, steers and corners fine. Tried it on a B rated road last night and that was ok too so !! there you are.
  9. Took the Fabiain to local garage on Friday to get it fixed, they fitted new arb bushes and all is now ok.No knocking over potholes (lots around Reading) and cost
  10. Its especially usefull on motorways, try it if you are travelling on the inside lane, you can still see a vehicle thats in the outside (3rd) lane.
  11. cheers they quoted £2.88+vat each and thanks to master tech and all the brilliant info on the forums, just need more spare time now to read pages 25 to the end!
  12. Hi Stu, Checked under front today and yes you are right its the ARB bushes, they looked just as your pics just not the same fitting as they are vertically mounted on part of the sub frame? but no prob. Just to check I pushed part of the broken bush back in and tried it up the road and all quiet for 10mins until it worked itself out again. Will fix asap, can you get them without going to dealers?
