Big problems filling my Superb with benzin
grahbarb replied to Hummelmose's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have a 2010 1.8TSI and it has happened to me twice recently but only in Northern France. The first time I was at a small filling station and only managed 8 litres before I gave up. I stopped later on a Motorway but had the same problem. Back in England and the problem vanished. After long or short journeys I've had no issues since. Baffled from Bolton Graham -
I reported vibration when changing into second gear to my Dealer last August, two months before the warranty expired. The car had done 21,000 miles and without a test drive the Dealer agreed over the phone to replace the double clutch unit as they said that this was the problem. The car was duly booked in for three days and a courtesy car supplied. The car has performed perfectly since. I understand that the replacement is a modified item to prevent the build-up of dust within the unit. My advice is to insist the unit is replaced before the warranty expires. It's a known fault across the VW group so your problem should be rectified without argument. Graham

Don't stand any nonsense - Insist the faults are rectified to your complete satisfaction under the terms of the Warranty. The Dealers know what the fault is and should react accordingly. Don't be fobbed off. Graham

My DSG 7 started juddering in second gear in August this year with 21000 miles on the clock. A telephone call to my Dealer-Claybank Motors-Eccles resulted in the car being booked in for 2 days to have the clutch pack replaced. This was done entirely on my description of the fault-there was no suggestion that the fault was likely to be anything else. I was given a new Octavia as a Courtesy Car and the job was completed on time and the car, which was returned to me spotless, has since performed perfectly. It's obvious that this is a wide spread problem and it is ridiculous that some Dealers won't accept the fact.

Thanks for that - mine do the same but then vanish without trace possibly after three or four weeks. I input them again and all is ok for a while and then they vanish again. Frustrating to say the least because I only realise they aren't there when I need them. Graham

Can anybody suggest why the pre-set telephone numbers on my Columbus screen occasionally disappear Even though the telephone book list is intact. The mobile is a Galaxy GT S5360 and this works perfectly Cheers. Graham

Still having Blue tooth connection probs
grahbarb replied to richard999's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
My Samsung Galaxy GT-S5360 connects to the car and works perfectly for three start-ups and on the fourth attempt gives the message 'no Bluetooth connection available'. If I then turn off and then turn on Bluetooth on the phone it then works for three more start-ups. I've disconnected and re-connected at the phone and in the car to no avail but haven't come across the 'always connect' prompt. My wifes Motorola works faultlessly. Graham -

Surprising Auto Express Team Test Result
grahbarb replied to dobbey's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I have subscribed to this Mag. for years and it is as good as any in keeping me up-to-date with the happenings in the world of Motoring and reasonably priced. What annoys me the most is when the photos in the road tests are not of the model or spec that they have actually tested. This particular thread relates to the current edition of the Mag.and the dash photo. shows a DSG when they tested a manual The test in issue 1251 was for a L&K yet all the pictures were of an Elegance model. This happens regularly with all makes and models and can be very misleading. I think I'll waste some time and write to the Editor!!!!!!! Regards to all Graham -
Hi Steve Shouldn't happen in this Country unless towing in very hot weather. I had this on an Octavia 1.8 a few years ago and it was a faulty temperature sensor - fixed by the Dealer while I waited. Just book it in and let the Dealer worry about it - not you. Cheers Graham

I know this topic has been done to death but I have a problem that doesn't seem to have been mentioned. I paired a Motorola with my MY11 Elegance when new and it has worked faultlessly until today when I successfully paired a Galaxy GT S5360. When I attempt to make or receive a call the car audio mutes but no sound relating to the phone calls can be heard. This happens whichever phone I select. End the call and the audio returns. Anyone know what I've done wrong? Graham -
To save myself the trouble of measuring can anyone tell me the minimum size of pre-cast garage needed to house a Superb with enough room to exit through the drivers door - I am average build. Graham

If you raise the headrests slightly the seatbacks lie lower - almost flat and yes the backrest is split 60/40. Graham

Hi Just arrived back from a trip in my 1.8TSI DSG and in 7th gear the instruments indicate that 1500 rpm equates to 45 mph. Hope this helpful Graham

I haven't got heated nozzles. I am using Halfords ready mixed and I've had no problems with freezing and here in Bolton it's as cold as anywhere in England. Graham

Hill hold only standard on the 1.8T DSG Graham -
Rather supprised that nobody has replied to this query The build quality of the Superb is amongst the best there is and on all the Superb models I looked at prior to ordering mine I was unable to find fault. My Elegance 1.8T DSG was delivered mid October and it is 'Superb' in every respect so I wouldn't worry at all if I were you. My Dealer would not display a model in his Showroom which was substandard and neither should yours - I would seriously consider changing Dealers if their attention to detail is suspect. Graham

Collected my car from the dealers yesterday afternoon and it is fantastic - The quality design and space are 'superb'. It drives like a dream, so quiet and refined and the DSG is fantastic. The satnav and the phone connection are up and running but the only thing that doesn't work is the time and temp display at the rear of the centre console - is there a Maxi-dot option to fire this up? Feel sorry for all of you who have a long wait ahead - but it's worth it Graham

Seems to me that the Dealer not Skoda is the problem here - can't believe that Skoda has given out all this duff information. Graham
