  1. Hi all,

Basically I Have been having the parking light flashing when I am driving,  in a nutshell the ABS pump is leaking.  Haven't found anyone who imports new or has second hand available.  I liv in Malta (EU)  its a very small country.

Any advice on any sources for this part?  Found a few on ebay but how would i identify why is the right one for my car?

    Thanks

  2. I have a similar problem, skoda agents just changed the remote key battery..... and told me to come back if my car doesnt start again (obviously happened again).  An VW expert told me to check the 100 relay 7M0951253A and I had 2 in the fuse box so i swapped them round and working well.  I obviously wanted to replace it so I went to skoda agent but they couldnt find the part number, they ordered with the 'ew' number but it doesn't match.

I m looking to buy 2 (Malta) any idea from were I can get a couple?

  3. Thanks to all.  Issue seems to be resolved.   The sunroof drain pipe was clogged.  Traced it by using a  bottle to drop water in sunroof drain and 'recreated the video'.

Applied air pressure a couple of time and i heard like a small stone chip pop out.  Restested with the bottle and all seems fine.  Was done in an hour.

sorry i cant re edit  should read - both on different levels!!

  5. Update -

Doesn't seem my my bootspacer can be adjusted i removed the bottom rubber and there is nothing.

Noise happening when there is a slight bump on the road - the bigger the bump the louder the noise.

I am going to empty to boot and see if there is any improvement...

    Thanks all

  6. They're probably trim screws.

You'll find them holding some of the interior panels.

    Do they look used?

Have you had any work done on the car?

Maybe not refitted if that's the case.

If not then probably just left over from original build.

Yes, i did have some work done earlier this year. I had checked all panels they seemed secure but I will check again! thanks

  7. Hi all,

I ve searched through the forum and couldnt find infor on how to adjust the 'spaces' which are on the boot lid (interior).

These are  2 rubber chunky at the bottom of the bootlid.  They seem to be adjustable as they are bought on different letter.

I will post some images later as I cant figure out how to explain this.

I am looking  at that this because it could possibly causing a rattle (more like a whistling sound) at the rear

I also found 2 screws after a interior cleaning (will post pictures) is there someone here that can identify them?

    Thanks

  8. I purchased an OBD Bluetooth module on eBay, came from china, for about £12. Plugs into the diagnostic socket then you can use a bluetooth equipped phone or laptop to talk to it. I use an app called Torque on an Android phone. You can read and reset error codes and build screens with all kinds of info.

thanks, thats what im going to do.

my question is if its possible to do without that connector

    cheers

  9. Which sensor area is showing. If it is the outer it is most likely picking up your garage wall or something standing within the pickup area. To check this drive in your garage and note which sensor is working, then reverse in, if the opposite sensor shows, they are working correctly. This assumes you have also front sensors.

I have a tool cabinet and pressure washer at the front left end of my garage this is always picked up by the front outer sensor.

I am dure you will find this is your case also.

i only have rear sensors, the sensor in question is the inner passenger side one and not the outer. its just a plain wall. i will try some tests like getting someone to stand behind it etc to confirm.

    thanks for your input

  10. Hi,

    to remove the housing you need to remove the mirror glass first to gain access to the clips;

    – Swivel the mirror glass -1- in the maximum position. – Release the catches which secure the glass all around in the -direction of the arrow- e.g using a screwdriver. – Push out the mirror glass and remove it.

    – Unclip the top housing from the clips -arrows-. – Remove top mirror housing -1-.

    – Remove screws -1- (0.7 Nm). – Pull out bottom mirror housing -2- downwards -arrows-.

Before removing the bottom mirror housing, the plug connection -3- for the turn signal light, inserted in the mirror, must be disconnected.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

    Regards,

    TP

Thanks :) those screenshots must be from some sort of manual right? Could you share that?

  11. Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried connecting the diagnostic signal without a cable/connector? I went to Skoda and they had like a tablet pc and they connected wirelessly to the diagnostics.

Is this possible to the same with some obd software?

    cheers

  12. hi all,

I have a problem with one of the sensors, when reversing in the garage one of the sensors marks 'half the way' with bars.

This doesnt seem to happen in an open area/parking display/beeps are correct.

    anyone had any similar problems?

    Thanks

  13. Hey dawnbringer,

I have no idea how to do it but I'm also interested in how to get into the back of the swing. My yeti hasn't arrived yet, but I want to fit a 3.5 mil jack to the aux port in the back of it when it does so I can listen to my ipod. I can imagine there will be a few of us with S and E models (and whatever the equivalent model is in Malta) who will want to be able to do this. I posted a similar query, and although no-one seemed to have taken out a swing radio, Great Yeti had posted some detailed instructions for removing the Bolero radio found in higher spec models in the Tech guides. Can't imagine it will be too dissimilar a process.

You should have an aux in in the armrest as standard no need to install anything else

  14. 1.2 TSI and Engine Turbolag,

I am thinking of purchasing a 1.2 TSI, However I have seen discussions relating to Turbo Lag in First Gear (1000 - 1500 RPM), on Briskoda and other sites. Does anyone have any experience of this with a yeti. Also does the DSG version have this problem, users say the DSG overcomes this. Local dealer has Diesel as Demo. Having had MG for many years this lag would require drive style change.

Mike, thanks for reply on wheels question. However worded incorrectly. The S Version has 16" Wheels while SE has17" wheels. I need SE for Park Assist, but believe smaller wheels cushion road better and would prefer 16" on SE.

    Thanks for any input.

    Hi mate,

I test drove the 1.2 and felt the same once the turbo kicked in it was great. I went for a 1.4tsi manual and its perfect with 17" took it for the first drive yesterday - excellent ride and power, glad i went for the 1.4.

    Cheers

    Thomas
