Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
jbyrnes82 replied to Yogi-Bear's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Ordered a new Sportline a couple of weeks ago, got a good deal against our current one, been advised build week 4 although I'm not expecting that to stay the same given this weeks news. -
Have a Trans K9 in our Kodiaq and previously had a double cage in an Octavia estate, highly recommend well built, well thought out features.

Apologies to Eileen I believed she was the OP that I was referring to when stating 'same as yours' -

We got our Kodiaq at the start of the year its the 190 DSG same as yours and it pulls out Swift twin eb really well, we had a Tiguan 150 DSG before which was good but the extra power is noticeable on hills etc. -
I got mine from Superskoda also as have used them before, arrived quicker than I expected also

Hi All, I have been lurking on this forum for a little while awaiting delivery of my new fabia. Its been a big change for me as I have come from a Mk3 Octavia VRS TDi DSG estate which I loved but did not need a car that size anymore due to the other car in my household. Having had two cars with DSG I went for the DSG again with the 1.0 TSi 110 engine, coming from a 2.0 diesel with 184ps I am very pleased with the response from the car, I feel having the DSG gets the best out of the TSi engine. Coming from the Octavia I have gone a bit crazy with the options list, but I feel that these will add to my enjoyment of the car, so I have adaptive cruise control, winter pack (heated seats & washers), arm rest, auto lights & wipers, spare wheel and the 18 inch alloys When it came to the colour, I had a grey octavia at the time, I've had black and race blue before so in the interest of having something different I went for rallye green as I've always wanted a car this colour and I am so pleased I did as it really makes the car look different imo.

I ordered my Monte Carlo in September and it was delivered to the dealer last week, having been told originally it would be March the production line seems to be working quicker at the moment.

Has anyone fitted mud flaps to a facelift Monte Carlo hatch? My dealer is telling me that you cannot fit mud flaps to the Monte Carlo, but having looked at some posts on this forum I see that it has been possible on the previous generations. I have considered ordering some from Superskoda along with some other bits but am put off by the 32 euro shipping fee!

At time of ordering were you not advised how long this would take? When I ordered mine in September I was told expected delivery was March which suited me so I didn't mind. I have had monthly updates advising me of progress (or lack of) and although it does feel an age I was fully aware at the point of ordering. I waited 9 months for my first mk3 VRS Octavia so am used to the wait for a specific order

its a European review but you get a sense of the option interior I am unsure on which one I prefer the grey is a bit more conservative but perhaps a bit dull, the standard red a bit more exciting but unsure on the carbon faux leather bits

Feedback wanted on 1.0 TSI 110 DSG Hatch
jbyrnes82 replied to jbyrnes82's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk III (2014-2021)
March 2019........ I'm used to this though I waited 9 months for my first Mk3 VRS and in no desperate rush it will probably be a 19 reg I guess. -

I have tried and was suitably impressed with the Fabia to place an order. I was able to use the discount offered from a car wow dealer to haggle direct with my dealer and get a similar deal and still use the current Skoda finance deals. Thanks for all the information its been useful in helping make a decision -

There are lots of deals out there and have been given a range of discounts through carwow, Ford are doing 0% which is a bonus, have been offered nearly 4k off a Fabia so far -

I must admit the price could always do with being less and I do get carried away with the options list at times but its comparable with the rest of its segment with the Ibiza FR and Fiesta ST Line being similar money and the Polo R Line pushing 24k my next headache is going to be choosing one out of the many available from a range of manufacturers. I lean towards the Fabia as have had a number of Skoda's now but guess it will come down to which suits me in terms of comfort and spec and the price I will pay each month for the pleasure. -

Thats encouraging to hear as our other car is a Tiguan with the 150 TDi engine so almost similar to your household having had no real experience of these new style small turbo engines its good to hear positive comments. Thanks -

thanks for the information it all helps -
I am considering a new Monte Carlo 1.0 TSI 110 & DSG and am looking for feedback from anyone who has experience of this setup. Does the engine have enough go at dual carriageway & motorway speeds? What real world mpg are people getting? I currently have an Octavia VRS but don't need two large cars in the family so am looking to downsize my wife had a MK2 Monte Carlo before so we are looking at one again. Any constructive comments appreciated. Pic below is my build from the online configurator.

Questions about vRS Estate
jbyrnes82 replied to MattJames's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I agree heated windscreen is a fabulous option to have although in the UK a winter pack is, heated screen, heated front seats and heated washer jets, heated rear seats are a different option and I don't believe UK spec cars have the option of the webasto unit. -
Progress Skoda Northampton have a meteor grey one in the showroom, they have put some pictures on their facebook page if you want a look

Skoda Kodiaq GT Coup'e heading for Europe ?
jbyrnes82 replied to vrskeith's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
its just too much like an X4, X6, and the Merc version utterly pointless fashion vehicles for those more concerned with one upping the neighbours than the actual practical need for a SUV. IMO of course, I'm sure there are people who will like this as much as they will need a visit to the optician. -

Thinking of Octavia VRS diesel auto
jbyrnes82 replied to Newson's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Amundsen nav became a standard fit in 2014 I believe, certainly my previous car which was Sept 14 registered had this so if your looking at 2014 - 2015 cars most should have at least that fitted.
