  1. I intend to! And this forum is a great source! But sometimes it's good to chat to an owner about their own personal experiences. A week with a freshly prepared press car is one thing - it's good to know how the car feels after a few thousand miles. Cheers.
  2. Hello, I've currently got a new Octavia 2.0 TFSI vRS on review for PetrolBlog and am looking to get some owners' opinions on the car. If anyone would be willing to share their thoughts on the car, either via email or phone, could you send me a DM please? Be delighted to feature photos and words on the site. Thanks in advance. It's been good to get behind the wheel of an Octy vRS again. I still miss my MK1 and have been generally very impressed with the MKII. All the best.
  3. Good spot. Amended with thanks!
  4. The pics were taken up on Okehampton Loop. Do you know the road?
  5. Thanks. Sadly, my budget of zero couldn't stretch to a helicopter, hire of a racing circuit and Sienna Miller! I see you have one on order? Fair play - managed to get in before the waiting list undoubtedly grows...
  6. it wasn't just Top Gear who reviewed the Skoda Yeti yesterday. My own review went live on PetrolBlog.com. Skoda Yeti on PetrolBlog My final Skoda review having already driven and reviewed the Fabia vRS and Superb estate. A hattrick of great cars. Could easily see myself buying one of them. Push come to shove I'd probably choose the Yeti over the Superb, but only just. Both exceptionally good cars.
  7. Absolutely right. The Audi approach these days is to decide on a look and then put it through the photocopier at different sizes. The new A6 is a case in point, as is the A8 which is essentially just a bloated A4. Skoda is on a roll at the moment and produce relevant cars that people demand. I'm testing the Yeti in January and I fully expect it to confirm my suspicion that Skoda is the most relevant and important car manufacturer in the UK. Cheers,
  8. Thank you! Appreciate the feedback! Have to say I'm missing the Superb. An exceptional car.
  9. I doff my cap to you sir - that would be my ideal spec! Would be good to get it featured on PetrolBlog if you're interested?!
  10. Thanks Al. Oversight on my part - I added it in during the proof check. D'oh! I see you have the 4x4 - are you happy with it? Presumably it has come in handy over recent weeks?!
  11. Hello again. Further to my recent Fabia vRS review, I've just finished reviewing the Superb estate. Lots of reviews on the net, but here are my personal thoughts: Skoda Superb estate on PetrolBlog Thanks for reading.
  12. Guys, thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed it and that the car is getting the respect it deserves. In the week I had the car I really took to it. I'm envious of anyone who has one on order.
  13. Former owner of brilliant Octavia vRS and a Superb. Both excellent cars in my opinion.

  14. Hello. It has been sometime since I was active on the site as I sold my Octavia vRS a few years ago. But last month I was given a new Fabia vRS to play with for a week. Thought you guys might be interested in my thoughts. If so, you can read them here: Fabia vRS on PetrolBlog Needless to say, I was very impressed with the car. Would choose one over a Polo or Ibiza every time.
